Sharp Call By Geilich

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We picked up the action when the board read {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Ludovic Geilich checked from the under-the-gun position. Martin Kozlov bet 164,000 and Geilich tank-called.

On the river the {7-Clubs} hit and Geilich checked once more. Kozlov put together another bet and fired out 380,000. Geilich tanked for a while but eventually called.

Kozlov showed {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for ace high and Geilich took down the pot with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

"That was the worst river card for him to bluff," Geilich said right away as he raked in this massive pot.

"He would always check behind a big pair there," Geilich added, giving away some of his thought process.

Rossiter Takes Some

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Javier Etayo has been by the far the most active player at the table and raised again to 35,000 from the cutoff. Jeff Rossiter was seated in the big blind and he made the call.

The flop brought {J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Rossiter checked to Etayo who bet 44,000. Rossiter check-raised up to 131,000 and Etayo made the call.

The turn brought the {Q-Hearts} and this time Etayo folded when Rossiter bet 242,000.

Aces for Etayo

Robin Ylitalo opened to 34,000 from under the gun, Javier Etayo called on his direct left, Stefan Vagner called out of the small blind, and Nicolau Villa-Lobos defended his big blind.

The dealer fanned {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, both blinds checked, and Ylitalo continued for 62,000. Etayo and Vagner called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, the acton checked to Etayo, and he slid out 162,000. Both Ylitalo and Vagner called.

The {2-Spades} completed the board, both players checked to Etayo again, and he fired out 282,000. Vagner folded, Ylitalo called, and Etayo tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}.

Ylitalo mucked.

The Road to the Final Table

The fifth and penultimate day of the Season 10 PokerStars European Poker Tour London Main Event is set to begin in an hour or so here at the Grand Connaught Rooms, and leading the remaining 16 players is New Zealand's [Removed:17] (2,313,000). Yan, 20, finished third in APPT Melbourne Main Event in September, sixth in the Aussie Millions Main Event in January, and is a regular contributor to the EPT Live broadcast. The Kiwi will certainly be featured on the live stream today — this time as a competitor and not as a commentator — and will look to remain outside of the booth heading into Day 6.

Behind Yan is Swede Robin Ylitalo (2,146,000). Ylitalo finished sixth in a World Series of Poker bracelet event this summer and his two previous deep runs on the EPT. In Season 8 he finished eighth in Campione for €54,000, and in Season 7 he finished 13th in Berlin for €28,000.

Also among the final 16 players is Aussie Jeff Rossiter. Only two players, Tony Gregg and Niklas Heinecker, have earned more money than Rossiter ($3,317,147) in 2013. The Aussie finished second to Heinecker in the GuangDong Asia Millions Main Event and took down a €2,000 side event at EPT9 Berlin. Rossiter has less than a million chips, but with over 60 big blinds he will be a force to reckon with.
