David “MissOracle” Yan Leads the Final 16 Players

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
[Removed:17] leads the final 16.
[Removed:17] leads the final 16.

Day 4 of the Season 10 European Poker Tour London Main Event is in the books. It took a little under four levels of play for the field, which started with 604 players five days ago, to whittle itself down from 45 to the final 16. Leading the way with a stack of 2.313 million is [Removed:17], who you may know as “MissOracle” on PokerStars and this year's sixth-place finisher in Aussie Millions Main Event.

Other notables still in contention are Robin Ylitalo (2.146 million), Ludovic Gelich (1.447 million), Jan Olav Sjavik (1.166 million), Jeff Rossiter (977,000) and Senh Ung (428,000), just to name a few.

The day began with a flurry of eliminations including Sebastian Blom (the brother of the legendary Viktor "Isildur1" Blom), who was the first to go. It happened in Level 19 (4,000/8,000/1,000) when he found himself all in preflop with the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and way behind Stefan Vagner's {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The board came {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Blom made his way to the payout desk in 45th place for £11,425.

Blom soon had company on the rail in the form of Timothy Adams (42nd - £11,425), Kitty Kuo (41st - £11,425), Daniel Weinman (38th - £13,180), Paul Berende (34th - 13,180) and David "Devilfish" Ulliott (31st - £14,940).

The UK legend fell in Level 20 (5,000/10,000/1,000) after getting his chips in with the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} against the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} of Greece's Georgios Karakousis. The {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Spades} flop was safe enough for Ulliott, though it did give Karakousis a gutshot wheel draw. However it was the {A-Hearts} turn that did the Devilfish in. Karakousis paired his ace and left Ulliott in need of an eight on the river to stay alive. The {Q-Clubs} was not what he was looking for and Ulliott made a gracious exit from the tournament floor, even stopping to shake hands with a few fans.

The eliminations continued to mount and included the last woman standing, Carla Sabini (30th - £14,940); well-known pro Shannon Shorr (28th - £14,940); Salman Behbehani, who immediately jumped into the £10,000 High Roller (27th - £17,285); Australian pro Steven Watts (21st - £19,920); Macau cash game player Andy Moseley (19th - £22,850); EPT10 Barcelona High Roller champ Thomas Muhlocker (18th - £22,850); and the last elimination of the day, Candido Goncalves (17th - £25,780).

We won't recount Goncalves' elimination here, but if you're interested in reading it just scroll down. It's also worth noting that at the start of the day there were still five players remaining in the Skrill Last Longer Competition. It was a heated affair, but one man managed to outlast them all and win the contest. That man is the UK's Leo McClean, who won his buy-in back through Skrill. To learn more about Skrill, and how you can get your hands on a free $20, click here.

As the final 16 players bagged and tagged for the night, the clock read read 36:40 left in Level 22 (8,000/16,000/2,000). That is where action will pick up on Friday as the final two tables look to play down to the final table of eight. Starting at Noon local time the PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be bringing you all the action from the tournament floor, so be sure to check back then.

Goncalves Out in 17th Place

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Candido Goncalves
Candido Goncalves

It took some doing, but the two-table bubble has finally burst to bring an end to Day 4.

It happened when Stefan Vagner opened for 32,000 from the under-the-gun position and action folded to Candido Goncalves on the button. He announced that he was all in for approximately 360,000, and after the blinds folded, Vagner made the call.

Vagner: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Goncalves: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop gave both players a pair of aces, but Vagner's kicker made him the overwhelming favorite. Goncalves was looking for some lady love, but he would get none as the {8-Spades} appeared on the turn followed by the {4-Clubs} on the river.

The final 16 players are now bagging and tagging for the night. We'll have official chip counts and the new seat draw for you momentarily. We'll also have a full recap of the Day 4 action, so be sure to stay tuned for that.

The winner of this season’s award will walk away with €50,000 in Main Event buy-ins, good for any PokerStars or Full Tilt sponsored event.

The Global Poker Index (GPI) points formula, which will be used to determine the EPT10 POY, is a bit complicated, but you can read about all the details here.

More Doubles

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

First Kent Roed has doubled through [Removed:17] with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} against {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} on a comprehensive {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} board.

Elsewhere, Neophytos Neophytou moved in with {A-Spades}{4-Spades} with Tudor Purice giving him a spin in the big blind with {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}. The board came {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. We're still one bust out from the end of the day.

Goncalves Doubles Up

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Neophytos Neophytou opened to preflop to 32,000 in the cutoff and Candido Goncalves moved all in from the button. A quick call.

Neophytou: [JsJdc
Goncalves: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Goncalves was in trouble but the flop came {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to make him trips. The {3-Spades} turn and {2-Clubs} changed nothing and he doubled up leaving Neophytou as the short stack.

Karakousis Doubles Huge Through Roed

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Georgios Karakousis
Georgios Karakousis

After Martin Kozlov opened for 32,000 and Georgios Karakousis called, Kent Roed three-bet to 86,000 from the big blind. Kozlov gave it up, Karakousis opted to call, and it was heads-up action to the {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Roed checked, Karakousis bet 225,000, and Roed responded with a check-raised to 525,000. Karakousis then snap-shoved for 827,000 total and Roed called just as quickly.

Roed: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Karakousis: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Much to Roed's surprise, Karakousis had flopped the flush. That meant Roed needed a diamond that wasn't the {6-Diamonds} to eliminate his opponent. With nearly two million on the line, the dealer burned and put out the {8-Spades} on the turn. Karakousis sat stone-faced and watched as one more card was burned and the {2-Spades} completed the board on the river. Karakousis' hand held to give him a massive double while Roed was left with just 140,000 after the hand.

Back to the Locker Room

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Thomas Muhlocker
Thomas Muhlocker

Thomas Muhlocker shoved for his last 130,000 or so and got called by the Scottish-German Ludovic Geilich.

Muhlocker was in good shape with {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} against {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts} but the {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop provided a real sweat. The {9-Spades} on the turn changed nothing but the {2-Hearts} river made Geilich the nut flush and the Austrian was eliminated in 18th place.
