Biografia

Pedro Marques, 31 anos, é um dos melhores jogadores portugueses de poker, com uma carreira de sucesso tanto nas mesas online como no poker ao vivo, onde soma mais de $5,7 milhões em prémios.

O jogador de Corroios, antigo estudante de psicologia, chegou a jogar cash games Omaha online, mas na última década tem-se dedicado quase exclusivamente aos torneios. Pedro Marques ocupa confortavelmente a segunda posição na All Time Money List Portugal do The Hendon Mob, apenas atrás de João Vieira.

Pedro Marques Campeão EPT Main Event Praga 2024

Em dezembro de 2024, Pedro Marques sagrou-se campeão do €5.300 Main Event do European Poker Tour (EPT) Praga 2024, coroando a sua brilhante carreira com a glória máxima no prestigiado circuito europeu. Marques tornou-se o terceiro português na história a vencer um EPT Main Event e, além do troféu, levou para casa um prémio de €963.450.

A maior parte dos seus ganhos nos torneios ao vivo foram conquistados em eventos da PokerStars, incluindo também o prémio de $1.251.500 que ganhou com o quinto lugar no PokerStars Players Championship 2023.

Com o resultado acima, o maior da sua carreira, Pedro Marques tornou-se o primeiro português a vencer dois prémios milionários no poker. Em 2018, o craque terminou em quarto no partypoker MILLIONS Online — torneio que teve Manuel Ruivo campeão — para encaixar $1.091.750. Marques repetiu o feito nas mesas ao vivo nas Bahamas e somou mais um prémio de sete dígitos ao currículo.

Antes dos resultados acima, o profissional português já tinha uma grande mesa final no currículo. Em 2018, disputou a decisão do €5.300 Main Event do EPT Barcelona, onde terminou num respeitável quarto lugar para faturar €698.369.

Também no European Poker Tour (EPT), Pedro Marques conta com títulos no €10.300 NLH Single Re-Entry do EPT Barcelona 2019 para €307.978, e no €3.000 NLH Mystery Bounty do EPT Monte-Carlo 2022, onde encaixou €167.202.
