Korotkikh Yells, Vandersmissen Exits

Nível 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Kevin Vandersmissen
Kevin Vandersmissen

Kevin Vandersmissen opened to 1,100, and Mikhail Korotkikh three bet to 3,500. Vandersmissen made the call, and checked on {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Korotkikh jammed all in, asking 21,000 more from Vandersmissen. The Belgian player made the call holding tens, and needed to look for a third as Korotkikh showed {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The {4-Diamonds} hit the turn, and the river brought the {Q-Diamonds} to the table.

Korotkikh yelled something in Russian, and the entire room, but Vandersmissen, bursted out in laughing.

Haglund Calls It Right

Nível 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Olof Haglund sat deep in thought for nearly five minutes. He was in the big blind and had reached the river of a board reading {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Having checked it over to his opponent Dominik Nitsche he now faced a pot-sized bet of 13,000.

The table sat quietly as Haglund mulled it over before eventually making the call and waiting for Nitsche to reveal his hand {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Haglund had made the right call and his {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} scooped the chips.

Lewis in Danger

Nível 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Ana Marquez
Ana Marquez

Just before the last break, Toby Lewis saw his stack drop into the danger level. Lewis had opened to 1,200 on the buton before Ana Marquez made it 3,400 in the small blind.

Lewis made the call to see the {6-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} flop, Marquez bet 3,000 and Lewis called. The turn was the {A-Spades} and both players checked. On the {Q-Diamonds} river, Marquez moved all in and the former EPT Vilamoura champion was forced to tank for several minutes before folding what he said was a full house.

Balado Bites Yurasov Bullets

Nível 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Dmitry Yurasov
Dmitry Yurasov

Adolfo Balado from Spain is one of the older players in the tournament today and from what we have seen of him he is not afraid to call light if he think his opponents are trying to push him around. He faced off in a pot against Russian EPT regular Dmitry Yurasov with the final board reading {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

Balado was in the big blind and checked it to Yurasov who languidly bet 4,500 and remained expressionless, his heavy lidded eyes giving nothing away but perhaps provoking some suspicion from Baldo who weighed it up and made the call.

Yurasov showed him the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Balado motioned to muck his cards before deciding to show the table his {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} hand.

Mizrachi Takes One with a Pair

Nível 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

After a player opened to 1,100 from the hijack seat and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi called from the cutoff seat, Kyrylo Kustov reraised from the small blind to 4,500. The original raiser folded, then Mizrachi called to see the flop come down {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}. Kustov checked, and Mizrachi checked.

The turn was the {Q-Spades}, and Kustov bet 5,000. Mizrachi called, and the {6-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Both players checked, and the hands were revealed.

Kustov showed the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, but it was Mizrachi's {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} that was the winning hand.

Blachut’s Back To Stack

Nível 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Vit Blachut - On the Left
Vit Blachut - On the Left

Vit Blachut arrived on the EPT circuit last year making a decent run in a few events and grabbing some headlines for his resemblance to Harry Potter, his unusual way of stacking chips and his aggressive play. Blachut has been maintaining his stack more than anything today but he found a spot to get all his chips in preflop in a good spot.

Christophe Olivier Jonin was the man who responded to Blachut’s raise with an all-in and Blachut snapped him off. Jonin tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and was crushed by the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} of Blachut. The river ran out {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Blachut had some chips to start stacking.

Mizrachi Can't Bluff Karlsson Off Aces

Nível 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

From under the gun, Jakob Karlsson raised to 1,200. Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi called from middle position, Myrylo Kustov called from the hijack seat, Denys Shafikov called on the button, and Jean-Pierre Tseng Ah Wang called from the big blind to complete the preflop action.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}, and Wang checked to Karlsson. As the preflop raiser, Karlsson fired a continuation bet of 2,200. Mizrachi called, and then Kustov, Shafikov, and Wang all folded.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and Karlsson tapped the table to pass the action over to Mizrachi. The man they call "The Grinder" bet 3,500, but that wasn't enough to shake Karlsson, as he called to see the {5-Clubs} complete the board on the river. Karlsson checked again, and Mizrachi fired 6,200 this time. Karlsson stood strong to the test again and called.

Mizrachi tabled the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for just king high. Karlsson showed the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and took down the pot.
