Welcome to Day 2 of the 2016 EPT 13 Prague €10,300 High Roller

The PokerStars European Poker Tour is ending in style, as not only did the EPT Prague Main Event set an attendance record for the event in the Czech capital, but so did the €10,300 EPT High Roller with 393 entrants at the end of Day 1, As Day 2 is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. local time, the record number has the potential to continue to climb until the tournament gets going.

Of those 393 entrants so far, 195 have made their way through yesterday's 10 blind levels to survive to Day 2. November Niner Jerry Wong will kick off the day in the lead with 402,900, followed by Russian player Andrey "Kroko-dill" Zaichenko, who won this event back in 2014 for €487,180 with 365,000.

Rounding out the top five in chip counts are Poland's Sameer Khurana (279,900), Latvia's Aleksey Ponakov (269,000) and Sweden's Niklas Astedt (268,400).

Among those who entered Day and failed to bag chips included Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, who busted two bullets and tweeted he was happy the year was over.

The first level of Day 2 will be 1,000/2,000 with an ante of 300. Players can buy in till the start of play, getting 25 big blinds in return for €10,300. Similar to yesterday, 10 hour-long blind levels are scheduled with breaks after every two hours, including a 75 minute dinner break near the end of the day.

Bicknell and Hata Knocked Out by Gordillo

Aymon Hata raised under the gun and Kristen Bicknell shoved for about 15 big blinds. When action got to Pablo Gordillo in the big blind, he reshoved. Hata called all in to make it a three-way showdown.

Boeree Doubles Through Yan

Liv Boeree had a massive stack of over 300,000 in front of her, and we asked her what had happened. She gave us the details of her double-up.

Boeree opened the button for 5,500 and big blind [Removed:17], who had been three-betting her all day already, three-bet to 22,000. Boeree, with , four-bet to 47,000 and Yan called.

The flop came rainbow and Yan checked. Boeree bet 29,000 and Yan called. Both checked the on the turn and an off suit completed the board. Yan shoved all in and Boeree called for 77,000. Yan showed and had to leave the pot to Boeree and her aces.

Zaichenko On the Clock Busts Conan

Andrey Zaichenko, who won this event two years ago and started the day second in chips, opened from middle position for 7,000.
Josip Simunic in the hijack three-bet to 20,000 before Arthur Conan shoved from the cutoff for 71,000.

Zaichenko went deep into the tank and after some time it was Dmitry Yurasov who asked the clock. The floor came over and informed Zaichenko that he had one minute left to act on his hand.

"Clock? I think like one minute" Zaichenko said before being interrupted by half the table who all agreed it was way longer than that.

With about 20 seconds left to act, Zaichenko called. Simunic folded.

The board ran out an uneventful and Conan left the tournament area. Zaichenko back at the stack he started the day with.

Paul-Francois Tedeschi opened the hijack to 8,000 and over on the button it was Farid Yachou who three-bet to 21,000. Both blinds released, Tedeschi called.

Tedeschi check-called a bet of 24,000 on before both of them checked the on the turn. The completed the board and Tedeschi checked again. Yachou bet 37,000 and Tedeschi folded after some time in the tank.

Yachou showed while raking in the chips.

"One time only," Yachou said, "I always do this one time!"

Jerry Wong Eliminated, Niall Farrell Leads

Start of day chip leader Jerry Wong opened under the gun for 18,000 and his neighbor William Kassouf called. The action folded to Niall Farrell in the small blind and he squeezed to 70,000. The big blind folded and action was back on Wong. He shoved for 335,000 and Kassouf folded. Farrell called.

The board came and besides picking up a chop out on the turn, the board brought nothing exciting for Wong. The November Niner made his exit, EPT Malta champion Niall Farrell started stacking.

Four-Hand Penalty for Lakemeier

On a -board, Jens Lakemeier in the small blind had both 28,000 and his cards open in front of him. His opponent, cutoff Julian Stuer, had 102,000 in front of him and his cards closed.

The floor and some players from other tables had gathered. It turned out Lakemeier had bet the river for 28,000. Stuer had put in a short cylinder of chips which Lakemeier had interpreted as a call. There were some 25,000-chips mixed in, though, so it was in fact a raise and not a call.

Lakemeier's hand was still live and he had the option to call or fold, raising wasn't allowed anymore. Lakemeier eventually folded, leaving the pot to Stuer. On top of losing the hand, he also received a 4-hand penalty.

Isaac Haxton Bubbles in Dramatic Fashion

Isaac Haxton bubbles EPT Prague 2016 €10,300 High Roller

Down to just 10,000, just two chips and less than a big blind, Isaac Haxton called all in from under the gun plus one. Action folded to Jens Lakemeier on the button and he raised to 175,000, putting both the small blind and big blind all in on top of putting Haxton at risk.

The small blind folded right away. Big blind Stephen Chidwick asked for clarification on who would bubble if two bust-outs happened at the same table, and folded as soon as he heard it was according to stack size and the prize would not be chopped.

The players were instructed to keep their hands down awaiting play to finish on all the other tables.

"I hope you have a really bad hand Jens" Haxton said to Lakemeier.

"I might have" Lakemeier answered with a mysterious smile.

It got busier and busier, railbirds and players from other tables all stood by as Haxton and Lakemeier were to reveal their hands.

"It feels so good, having all these people here supporting me!" Haxton said sarcastically.

"Ike! Ike! Ike!" chanted one railbird.

When it was time to open the cards, Lakemeier turned out to be a huge dog in the confrontation.

The flop came and it took some seconds for the audience to realize that Haxton still had some outs to dodge. "Ooohh!" reacted the crowd after seeing the ten, "Ahhhh!" followed seconds later upon realizing a seven would grant Lakemeier a straight.

The hit the turn, followed by an even louder "Ahhh!" from the crowd and a sincere "Oh my god!" from Matas Cimbolas.

"Pair the board please," Haxton said. The dealer did not oblige: on the river.

After bubbling the €25,500 Single-Day High Roller III the day before yesterday, Isaac Haxton was now the last one to go before the money in the €10,300 High Roller. It's not all bad for Haxton this week, though, he won the first €25,500 Single-Day High Roller this week for €559,200.

Liv Boeree Eliminated

Liv Boeree, one of only a few PokerStars Team Pro's to enter, has just been eliminated.

She was just moved to a new table as she found . She pushed her last 170,000 to the middle and was unfortunate enough to see Grzegorz Wyraz wake up with in the small blind.

Boeree did not make a comeback in the hand, failing to improve on the flop, turn and river.
