Perry Cracks Aces to Triple Up

Nível 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Sean Perry
Sean Perry

Sean Perry was involved in a three-way all-in as the shortest stack against Daniel Moran and another player.

Sean Perry: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Daniel Moran: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop of {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} was an action one as it gave Perry a flush draw, and the board finished out {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to win him the main pot for a triple-up.

"Let's fu**ing go!" shouted Perry as the river card peeled off to send him the big pot.

"Sean, let's go to the craps table," said Jake Daniels after seeing his table mate's luck. "I don't know why you don't live at the craps table at this point."

Five More Hands

The tournament staff just announced that the remaining players will play five more hands before bagging and tagging on Day 2c. Stay tuned for chip counts and a short recap of today's action.

Deeb Pulls Off Trademark Slowroll with Aces

Nível 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb raised in late position to 8,000 with just 65,000 total in his stack. The big blind, Javier Zarco, then moved all in, and after about 10 seconds of pondering his decision, Deeb decided to call off, a decision he had already made.

"I've got a pretty big hand," Deeb said while slowly turning his hand over.

Shaun Deeb: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Javier Zarco: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

In fairness to Deeb, he acted much quicker than he often does when facing an all-in bet with the nuts. As for the board, it ran out {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and the King of Slowrolls took down the pot.

"It's too bad justice wasn't served," Zarco uttered. Deeb's still sitting on a below average stack but he's now back in business.

Deeb Gets a Shove Through

Nível 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jake Daniels opened to 9,000 in the hijack and the cutoff flat-called. The action folded to Freddy Deeb in the small blind, who three-bet jammed a stack of around 100,000.

Both of his opponents folded and Deeb took down the small pot, which hardly dented Daniels' massive stack.

Polychronopoulos Lays Down Ace-Queen, Gets a Lecture

Nível 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Athanasios Polychronopoulos opened to 10,000 in early position and the player on the button moved all-in for around 100,000.

"Alright my friends, it's been fun. I'm all-in," he announced before pushing his stack to the middle.

The action folded back to Polychronopoulos, who thought through his decision as his opponent chatted with Freddy Deeb from a few tables over.

"Are you all-in?" Deeb asked his friend.

"Yep," the player told Deeb.

Polychronopoulos took a minute or so before folding ace-queen offsuit face-up on the table. The opponent showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and expressed bewilderment over what Polychronopoulos was considering calling with.

"My friend, what are you even thinking about?!" he said. "That's an instant fold. It's not even suited."

"I had a big hand," shrugged Polychronopoulos.

"Not in my book," the opponent countered.

Kim Wins Flip to Take Out Kornuth

Nível 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth was down to around 60,000 and got all of his chips in the middle in a pot against Brian Kim, who had him covered.

Chance Kornuth: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Brian Kim: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The flop came {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to keep Kornuth in the lead with his nines and the {5-Hearts} on the turn didn't change things. However, the {q-Diamonds} on the river gave Kim a better pair and Kornuth was eliminated.
