Set Over Set for Loosli

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With roughly 15,000 in the middle on a {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} board, Sylvain Loosli was in the small blind and check-called for 7,000 against the button.

The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Loosli check-called for 11,000.

The button tabled {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a set of jacks, but Loosli's {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} claimed the pot with his superior set.

Davies Takes Small Pot

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Seth Davies opened to 800 in the hijack and the big blind defended.

The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the big blind check-called for 600. Both players checked the {8-Clubs} turn and {2-Clubs} river.

Davies took the pot with his {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} over the {a-}{9-} of his opponent.

The 2022 Wynn Millions is a series comprised of 16 events with more than $15 million in guaranteed prize money. There's a tournament for just about any type of poker player — high stakes, mid-stakes, no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, bounty events, etc. And there are two seniors events for players aged 50 and above — $400 and $1,100.

The series kicked off back on February 21 with the $400 No-Limit Hold’em $40K GTD, a tournament that attracted 313 entries and awarded a $107,985 prize pool to the top 35 finishers.

Among those to cash were Jesse Sylvia (34th - $809), Vivian Kreider (23rd - $1,033), Jack Hardcastle (16th - $1,334), Thi Nguyen (8th - $2,834), and David Poces (4th - $7,483).

The final three players worked a deal that saw Jeff Sluzinski, also known as the popular poker vlogger Jeff Boski, get the most money with $20,000, but it was New Zealand’s Gabriel Jin Goh who claimed the trophy and $17,000 in prize money.

Cross Doubles with Aces Up

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Peter Cross opened to 700 in the hijack and Erik Seidel flat-called in the cutoff. The button then three-bet to 2,700 and both Cross and Seidel called.

The action checked to the button on the {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop and he bet 3,500. Cross check-raised to 8,000 and Seidel folded, while the button moved all-in with Cross covered. Cross made the call for his tournament life.

Peter Cross: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Button: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Cross had out-flopped his opponent and his two pair held up as the board ran out {7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to earn him a double-up.

Cowboys for Rezaei

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Erik Seidel opened in early position and Daniel Rezaei three-bet to 1,800 on the button. Seidel called.

The dealer spread the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and Seidel check-called a 2,500 bet.

The {a-Clubs} fell on the turn and Seidel check-called for 2,000, and both players checked the {6-Hearts} river.

Seidel tabled {k-Spades}{8-Spades}, but it was no good against the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Rezaei.

"You have it sometimes," Seidel said.

"Sometimes," Rezaei replied as he scooped the pot.

Shegal Shows a Jack, Tice Bewildered

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

PIcking up the action on the river on a board of {5-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, Landon Tice in the cutoff bet 8,000 and Gianluca Pace flat-called on the button. Vikenty Shegal then raised to 24,000 and Tice announced a fold.

"Two pair any good?" Pace asked before eventually folding.

Shegal showed that he didn't have a flush by flipping over the {j-Spades} to the bewilderment of Tice.

"What the f***!," exclaimed the young poker star. "Did you have king-club jack? What the actual f***. I folded a set! I had deuces."

The {10-Diamonds} turn saw the small blind check-call a 1,600 bet, and both players checked the {9-Clubs} river.

Shegal flipped over {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to claim the pot with two pair.

Andy Park
Andy Park

In a heads-up pot on a board reading {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Kitty Kuo led out with a bet of 700 and Andy Park called.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and Kuo bet a hefty 3,000, which Park called. Kuo then checked on the {8-Spades} river and called Park's bet of 5,000.

Park turned over {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the stone nuts with a straight flush and Kuo quickly mucked.
