Money Bubble

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Play stopped for a few minutes while the floor staff worked out whether the players had already made the money after the tables played two hands during hand-for-hand play.

After a few moments, the floor announced players are in the money with a $578 min-cash guaranteed.

Dave Plaskett's Kings Hold Against Two Players

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Dave Plaskett got all in against Mimi Luu and Katie Lindsay holding pocket kings, {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. He was up against the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} of Luu and the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} of Lindsay.

He held to double through Lindsay and leave her with 30,000. Luu was eliminated shortly after the money bubble burst.

Jason Johnson Knocks Out 2 and Dietrich Fast is 'Not the Chip Leader'

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Jason Johnson got all in with {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} against Ylon Schwartz, {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and another player holding {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

The turn brought an ace and Johnson won the hand and busted Schwartz and the other player.

At a nearby table, Dietrich Fast counted out his chips but also noted the importance of counting out how many drinks he's had.

"I'm definitely not the chip leader," said Fast. He referenced he might be the most drunk person in the remaining field though.

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The floor called four more hands of play and several of the tables are already beginning the bagging process.

Todd Louer and Michael Abitbol appear to be the two big stacks from this flight of the $365 Giant.

Niall Farrell and Dietrich Fast have also bagged decent stacks. A recap of Day 1c will be up in a few minutes.

Todd Louer Bags Lead in Day 1c of THE GIANT

Day 1c of Event #19: THE GIANT, a $365 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament, is in the books. Todd Louer bagged the biggest stack of the day with 730,000.

Tommy Zhu (502,000) climbed the leaderboard when he knocked out three people, including Jeff Gross, on the final hand of play with pocket sevens. Gross was a short stack after working his stack up to 100,000 and then leaving it to continue in the Pot-Limit Omaha Eight or Better tournament that started earlier today.

Niall Farrell (559,000) and Dietrich Fast (377,000) both bagged and they seemed to put a lot of stock into Ismael Bojang’s thoughts that this was the “drinking tournament.”

Bojang, Todd Brunson, Ylon Schwartz, James Woods, Joe McKeehen, and Ryan Riess are just some of the players that fired and missed on bagging a stack today.

Valentin Vornicu currently holds the biggest starting flight stack with 869,500.

Day 1d is on June 30 and Day 1e is on July 7. Those are the last two shots to try and catch Vornicu and earn a spot in Day 2 of THE GIANT.
