Blake Stewart turned 21 today and is celebrating by playing Day 1c with him mom, Susie. The two are both seated in the Pavilion room as part of the 1,600 person field for this flight of the $365 Giant.

Blake just ordered a drink and the table has realized it's his birthday, so they are one of the louder tables in the Pavilion room at the moment.

One player is pretty quiet compared to the rest of them, former Main Event Champion Joe McKeehen is seated to Blake's left and looks to be all business.

The general feel of this tournament is kind of nuts. There are players visiting with other players in the isles and the short levels and overall speed of the starting flights makes the Giant a perfect opportunity to have a few drinks and play a bit loose.

Ismael Bojang welcomed Todd Brunson to his table saying, "Welcome to the drinking tournament."

On this hand, Esther Taylor shoved all in and caused a little confusion when the player next to her said she had gone all in out of turn. Eventually he folded, along with the rest of the players and Taylor won the hand.

Marvin Rettenmaier who was standing behind her and chatting asked her what she had.

"I have twenty," responded Taylor and she collected the pot.

Harrison Gimbel three-bet all in against an early position raise. The raiser called and Gimbel showed . He was up against .

The board ran out and Gimbel would doubled up, dodging a king on the ace-high run out.

At a nearby table, Jeff Gross has about 90,000 and is down a little after he led for 4,500 into a 12,500 pot. The board read and Gross bet 4,500. The next player raised to 10,500 and the player after him shoved all in for 33,900. The all-in player won the pot and Gross hurried over to Event #46: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better to play his remaining stack in that tournament for a little as the Giant flight prepares to go on break.
