Chidwick Scoops Versus Logue

Nível 11 : Limits 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

A player in the cutoff raised to 8,000, then Christopher Logue on the button raised it up to 12,000. Stephen Chidwick in the big blind elected to call, as did the cutoff.

The flop came AJ3 and it checked around to Logue, who also elected to check.

The turn was the 8 and Chidwick led out for 8,000. The cutoff folded and Logue made the call.

The river brought the 2 and Chidwick fired out 8,000 once more. Logue made the call.

Chidwick revealed he had A1074 for a flush and seven-four for the low, which was enough to scoop the 70,000 pot when Logue tossed his hand in the muck.

Nível 10 : Limits 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Dan Shak moved his short stack all in from under the gun and was at risk when Daniel Negreanu committed chips in middle position. Gary Bolden came along on the button, with John Racener calling in the small blind and Ziya Rahim calling from the big blind.

The dealer revealed the 389 flop, with action checking around to the 6 turn. Racener and Rahim checked again before Negreanu fired a bet into the middle. Bolden called, as did Racener and Rahim.

The 2 river slowed the action again, with all four players checking through. Negreanu showed A652 for two pair and a low, scooping the side pot as his opponents mucked.

Shak had stood up but sat back down after showing Q1054 for a six-high straight to claim half of the main pot, with Negreanu getting the low half.

Kessler Shows the Nuts Before He Was All In

Nível 10 : Limits 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

As we picked up the action on the turn with 24,000 in the pot, a board of 109QJ some controversy ensues.

After Christopher Roth made a bet of 6,000, Allen Kessler raised to 12,000. However, Kessler thought he heard Roth announce "raise" which would put Kessler all in for his remaining 6,000 chips and flipped his hand over which revealed that he had AxKx5x3x for the Broadway straight.

However, the dealer confirmed Roth did not raise and was still making a decision to call Kessler's bet. After an argument ensues for a couple of minutes on whether Roth announced raise, the players at the table and most importantly the dealer were adamant he did not declare raise.

After getting confirmation that Kessler had the nuts, Roth still made the call for 6,000 and we head to a river.

The river was the 10 and Roth bet 6,000 to put Kessler all in, Kessler who was very frustrated threw his chips in and was shown KJ109 for a rivered full house. Kessler threw his cards into the muck and was eliminated from the tournament.
