Two in a Row For Negreanu

Nível 6 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu found himself in the big blind with 5,000 of his 18,000 stack at risk. He declared that he was too short-stacked for anyone to attempt to steal his blind. Undaunted by the warning, Kenny Hallaert raised to 11,000. Freddy Deeb called, and Negreanu, true to his word, put the remainder of his stack in. Hallaert reraised to 100,000, Deeb folded, and the players turned over their cards.

Daniel Negreanu: A6
Kenny Hallaert: AJ

Negreanu was jubilant when the 2610 flop brought a blessed six. The J hit the turn, though, causing Negreanu to call out, "I celebrated too early!"

But the tables were turned once again when the river brought the miracle 6.

"Two in a row! 2023 WSOP!" shouted Negreanu.

Yau Forces Out Theuma at Star-Packed Table

Nível 6 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ethan Yau raised to 12,000 from the button and Corel Theuma came along from the big blind to go heads-up to the 74Q flop.

Theuma checked over to Yau, who continued for another 12,000. Theuma called to see the 8 turn, where Yau fired out 80,000.

"If you want it that bad, you can take it," Theuma said as he mucked, allowing "Rampage" to drag in the pot.

In addition to Yau, Daniel Negreanu and Ben Lamb occupy seats at this table as a large crowd has gathered by the rail to watch.

Wilson Leaves One Chip Back

Nível 6 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

With around 100,000 in the pot on a board of 4825, Brock Wilson bet 60,000 from the big blind and Nozomu Shimizu called in the small blind.

The river came the Q, Shimizu checked, and Wilson this time moved most of his chips in the middle, a bet totaling 141,000 as he left just one yellow 1,000 chip behind.

Shimizu slid forward several of his time bank chips as he tanked for more than a minute before deciding to fold.

Heads-up with the board showing 47Q55, Jake Kalb in the big blind bet enough to put cutoff Joao Simao all in. Simao stuck in his last 80,000 with KQ for two pair, but Kalb turned over Q7 for queens and sevens to take the pot and bust the Brazilian bracelet winner.

Three-handed with around 30,000 in the pot, Matthew Fields bet 15,000 from the small blind on a flop of 5J7 and only Kristen Foxen in the big blind called.

Both players checked the 10 turn before Fields again checked the K river. Foxen now bet out 18,000, and Fields snap-called.

"Two pair," Fields announced, turning over K7.

"Nice hand," Foxen acknowledged, tapping the felt and mucking her hand.
