Two in a Row For Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu found himself in the big blind with 5,000 of his 18,000 stack at risk. He declared that he was too short-stacked for anyone to attempt to steal his blind. Undaunted by the warning, Kenny Hallaert raised to 11,000. Freddy Deeb called, and Negreanu, true to his word, put the remainder of his stack in. Hallaert reraised to 100,000, Deeb folded, and the players turned over their cards.

Negreanu was jubilant when the 2♠6♠10♦ flop brought a blessed six. The J♠ hit the turn, though, causing Negreanu to call out, "I celebrated too early!"

But the tables were turned once again when the river brought the miracle 6♥.

"Two in a row! 2023 WSOP!" shouted Negreanu.
