He Griffeth and Holmes Taketh

Nível 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
George Holmes
George Holmes

David Cabrera raised to 425,000 and was called by Stephen Gerber and Demosthenes Kiriopoulos in the big blind. The {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop was checked by Kiriopoulos and Cabrera bet 525,000, which was called by Gerber only. After the {q-Clubs} turn, Cabrera fired another bet worth 1.7 million and Gerber folded deuces face-up. The Spaniard returned the favour and flashed the {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. Apparently, Gerber had used that hand in a previous hand between them and that was the pay back.

In the next hand, Cabrera raised to 425,000 and Roongsak Griffeth flat-called in the cutoff, as did George Holmes in the big blind. Following a {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Holmes check-raised a bet of 500,000 by Griffeth to 1.7 million and Cabrera folded while Griffeth called.

The {2-Clubs} turn brought a bet worth two million by Holmes to receive a snap-call by Griffeth and he then reluctantly bet the {7-Clubs} river for four million. Griffeth tank-folded and was shown the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the nuts by Holmes.

Nível 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

The action folded around to Tyler Cornell in the small blind who just limped in. Chance Kornuth checked his option and the flop came {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Cornell checked to Kornuth who bet 300,000 and Cornell called.

A couple of hands later, Jonathan Dwek opened to 425,000 in the hijack and Kornuth three-bet to 1,125,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Dwek opted to quickly fold as well.

One for Halverson

They both checked through the {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop to the {4-Clubs} on the turn. Jewett checked again and so did Halverson for the {j-Spades} to pair up on the river.

Halverson tabled the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for the pot as Jewett mucked his hand.

Field Eliminated by Kornuth

Nível 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Joshua Field
Joshua Field

Chance Kornuth opened the action with a raise to 400,000 from an early position and Joshua Field announced all in from the button. The shove was for 3,025,000 in total and Kornuth took some 90 seconds before making the call as the camera crew rushed by to film the showdown.

Joshua Field: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Chance Kornuth: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop didn't change anything and Field was on very thin ice after the {4-Diamonds} turn, as Kornuth was the only one with a diamond in the hand. No miracle happened on the {6-Hearts} river and ace-queen high was enough to score the knockout.
