Tran Spikes Jack to Commit Regicide

Nível 23 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Kenny Khai Tran was all in preflop and in trouble holding the {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} vs the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} of Luan Mai.

The flop {5-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} saw Tran zoom into the lead. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and the river came the {4-Hearts} to confirm the huge double for Tran and to keep him alive as he kissed a lucky pendant as the pot was pushed toward him.

Pascual Gets Lucky to Send One Home

Nível 23 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Mark Pascual raised pre-flop from the button before the small blind shoved for about 550,000.

"It's not Q-3 this time," Pascual said as he pondered the decision. He eventually made the call with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} and was up against his opponent's {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Pascual was dominated but quickly took the lead when the flop brought the {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. He made a full house when the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and knocked out his opponent in the first level of the day.

Redden Hits Jack on River vs Leng

Nível 23 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

In a preflop all in, Ryan Leng had the slight lead with {9-}{9-} vs the {k-}{j-} of John Redden.

The flop was dealt {8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The turn came the {q-Clubs} as Leng remained in the lead.

On the river, the dealer accidentally revealed the burn card, a jack, which would have given Redden the needed card to overcome Leng. The table cringed a bit at the needle to Redden but there was no time to be too upset because the river came another jack the {j-Clubs} to indeed pair Redden and knock Leng down to a very small stack.

Simone Gets Huge Double Through Takayama

Nível 23 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Christopher Simone raised from early position to 180,000 and was called by Faisal Siddiqui on the button. Mike Takayama, who began the day second in chips, then three-bet to 625,000. Simone called while Siddiqui got out of the way.

The flop came {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Takayama slid a stack of green 100,000 chips forward, putting Simone all in for his tournament life.

Simone went into the tank for five minutes before the clock was called. "Is this a cooler? I've got an overpair," he said.

As the clock ticked down to zero, Simone eventually put in the chips to call and showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. He was ahead of the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Takayama, who failed to hit either the turn or river.

Simone was all in for 1,525,000 and doubled to 3,600,000, while Takayama fell down to 2,900,000.
