Nakanowatari Doubles With Aces

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player in early position had limped in and been raised from a middle position player to 35,000. Junichi Nakanowatari had then shoved all in and action was back on the limper. He asked for a count and in total took about 30 seconds before folding. The raiser then confirmed the count and took another 20 seconds or so before tossing in chips to call. Nakanowatari quickly tabled his hand.

"Oh, man!" exclaimed his opponent.

Junichi Nakanowatari: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Opponent: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

"Okay, maybe it was a good fold then. Tens," said the player to Nakanowatari's left who had also apparently thought for some time before folding preflop.

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and was no sweat for Nakanowatari en route to a double.

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

Dario Sammartino and Ricky Guan have just joined Table 450 in the purple section in the Amazon room after having started the day in Pavilion.

The player in the cutoff raised to 22,000 and Sammartino was next up to act on the button. Sammartino checked out his opponent's stack and then decided to call while the blinds folded.

The flop came {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and they both checked to see the {6-Diamonds} on the turn, the initial raiser bet 27,000 and Sammartino made the call.

The river completed the board with the {7-Hearts} and they both checked. The cutoff tabled {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for Sammartino to pick up the pot with {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Schindler Shuts Down Schutten, Rises Toward Top

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

On a flop of {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} Jake Schindler bet around 100,000 and was called by Brekstyn Schutten. The turn came the {2-Spades}. Schindler fired again, this time for 225,000 and Schutten again came along with a fairly quick call.

The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Schindler applied maximum pressure announcing all in which was for all of Schutten's chips. Schutten leaned back and exhaled but tossed in the one chip call after a couple of seconds. Schindler flipped over the {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for flopped trips and Schutten mucked his hand in disgust with his tournament ended abruptly on Day 4, while Schindler is now among the chip leaders of the Main Event.

Hu Flops Broadway

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a flop of {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} there was roughly 60,000 already brewed in the pot and Jaspal Brar led out for 18,000 which Richard Hu called.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and Brar kept betting, this time for 38,000 and Hu called rather quickly.

The river paired the board when the {4-Hearts} hit and Brar fired out a bet of 44,000 and Hu instantly put a chip in to signal a call. Brar tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for two pairs aces and fours with a queen kicker, but Hu showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for the Broadway straight and scooped the pot.

David Cabrera Polop was all in from the hijack for 266,000 against the player in the big blind on a board of {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. His bet was more or less the size of the pot and his opponent was in the tank. Eventually, a call was made and hands were tabled.

David Cabrera Polop: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Upon the completion of showdown, Cabrera Polop's flopped trips were good and his opponent paid off the bet as he secured the double.
