Chris Baud raised to 1,300 from middle position, two players behind him called, and the big blind three-bet to 7,700. Baud shoved, the two late-position players folded, and the big blind called to put himself at risk.

Baud found himself trailing his opponent's aces and needed help from the deck in order to stack him. After the flop fell , Baud still needed help, but he picked up a flush draw on the turn and made his hand on the river to win the pot.

Ausmus Felts a Foe

Aleksey Filatov raised to 800 from under the gun, the next player to act three-bet to 3,000, and Jeremy Ausmus made a pot-sized four-bet to 10,400 from the cutoff. The button and blinds folded, as did Filatov, and the three-bettor in early position called.

The flop came and the early-position player shoved. Ausmus called with the larger of the two stacks and both players tabled their hands.

Ausmus had the best of it with his aces and his opponent needed to improve in order to double up. The turn kept Ausmus in the lead and he improved to top set on the river to win the pot and stack his opponent.
