There was a massive pile of about 80,000 chips already in the middle and the completed board read when we got to the table.

Leif Force was in the cutoff and facing a decision for 45,000 from his lone opponent, a player in middle position. Force went into the tank and ultimately shoved for an additional 76,500.

After brief consideration, his opponent called, and Force rolled over for the second-nut flush. His opponent tossed his hand into the muck and Force took the pot to double.

Samson Takes From Filatov

Wesley Samson was under the gun and lead out on a board of with about 10,000 already in the pot. Aleksey Filatov raised to 28,000 from the button and Samson called.

The fell on the river and Samson checked. Filatov bet 20,000 and Samson called, tabling for a turned set of nines. Filatov mucked and Samson took the pot.

The player under the gun limped in, the next two players folded, and a player in middle position raised to 12,000. Aleksey Filatov called from the hijack and the cutoff shoved for 31,000. Action folded back around to Filatov and he called to put the cutoff at risk.

The cutoff had the lead and Filatov needed to connect with the board in order to win the pot. The cards ran out to give Filatov the nut straight, so he took the pot to send his opponent to the rail.
