Heinecker Killing It, 13 Remain

Nível 13 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Sven Heinecker, or Niklas as he is known in the poker world (and will be refered to as such from here on out) has gone on a rampage here late on Day 2 of the GDAM Main Event. He recently eliminated Thomas McDonald and now he has sent Devan Tang to the rail. It started with Heinecker opening to 800,000 from the hijack. Tang was in the big blind and three-bet jammed for 3,985,000. Heinecker made a fairly quick call and the two players tabled their hands.

Tang: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Heinecker: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Tang was in good spirits, (considering the circumstances) as he watched the {3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} board hit the felt and with that was sent home just a few places shy of the final table. We are now down to 13 players and Heinecker is the clear the chip leader.

Sven Crushes McDonald

Nível 12 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

Thomas McDondald was under the gun when he opened it up to 600,000. Folded around to Isaac Haxton In the hijack and he asked McDonald how much he had left. Haxton found it he had around 6 million and opted to fold. The play was now on Sven Heinecker in the cut off and he would three-bet to 1,250,000. Back on McDonald and after just a few moments, he moved all in. Heinecker called, having a little over 8 million behind.

McDonald: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Heinecker: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

McDonald was up on his feet as the dealer rolled out a {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} board and then made his way out of the tournament in a meaningless 15th place.

Heinecker is now one of the chip leaders with a stack of 15 million. Isaac Haxton is on his right with a similar stack.

Massive Three Way All-In

Nível 12 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

One of the biggest hands of the tournament has just played out. It started with Anthony Gregg jamming for 4,010,000 from middle position. Folded around to Isaac Haxton in the small blind and he thought long and hard before shoving over the top for his stack of around 20 million. Sven Heinecker was in the big blind and made a fairly quick call, having a little over 7 million.

Haxton: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Heinecker: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Gregg: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Both Gregg and Heinecker were at-risk, with Gregg having the smallest stack and the strongest hand. When the {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs} board was spread on the felt, Gregg had tripled up, while Heinecker took a small hit after winning the main pot versus Haxton. Despite taking a massive hit to his stack, Haxton is still one of the chip leaders.

Tobias Toppled, Ike in Charge

Nível 12 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

We are now down to 16 players, and therefore two tables of eight. The latest player to find the rail was Tobias Reinkemeier. His final hand started when he jammed for 1.7 million from the cutoff. Brian Powell was on the button and made the flat-call. On to Isaac Haxton in the big blind and he would take a few moments before jamming for his monster stack. The action was back on Powell, who has a stack around 10 million. If he called his tournament would be on the line. Powell tanked for quite a while, studying Haxton before letting his hand go. At this point Haxton turned over his {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

“Lucky eight,” said Renkemeier as he tabled {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Lucky it was not as a {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs} meant that more chips were added to Haxton’s stack and Renkemeier was sent home.

Quick Bust Out Following Dinner

Nível 12 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

Keith Gipson spent 90 minutes on the dinner break, but only a couple minutes back at the felt before finding the rail. Gipson's short stack went into the hands of Nick Wong. Gipson was all in preflop holding {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Wong had him at-risk holding {a-Spades}{j-Spades}. The board ran out {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and it was all over for Gipson.

Wong won the GDAM Warm-Up just a couple of days ago and if all goes to plan he will be looking to make it back-to-back titles.

Dinner Time is Over

Nível 12 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

The players are back from their dinner break, refreshed, and ready to play down to the GDAM final table.

There are 18 players remaining and the plan is to play down to a final table of nine, which will then go to the live streaming feature table. The players will then burst the bubble and the night will come to a close when the official final table of eight is set.
