Labryga Leads Final Seven After Penultimate Day in FPS Paris Main Event

The penultimate day of the €1,100 France Poker Series Paris Main Event wrapped up after ten 60-minute levels of play with Jean-Luc Labryga leading the final seven players with a stack of 20,350,000. Labryga holds a big lead over Oleksii Natoptanyi, Elias Fisz and Roger Taieb, but Christopher Dowling, Alan Goasdoue and Thibault Reverdito all have a fighting chance at taking home the trophy and €287,830 top prize.
The six players who survived a record-breaking FPS Main Event field of 2,071 players will return to finish out the final table on Feb. 20 at noon local time as they each look to etch their name in EPT Paris history.
Labryga, a France native who ended Day 1a as the chip leader, is guaranteed his biggest-ever score as the Frenchmen looks to add to his $31,533 in Hendon Mob earnings. He'll have a good chance at significantly besting that as he enters Day 4 with nearly a third of chips in play.

Day 3 Action
It didn't take long for the starting Day 3 field of 61 players to dwindle down to a few tables as some of the early eliminations included Igor Yaroshevskyy (58th - €4,570), Gianluca Speranza (47th - €5,270) and Day 1c chip leader Loic Vaux (39th - €6,040).
Pedro Neves, who last month finished runner-up in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10,300 Main Event for $1,183,037, went out in 23rd place when his ace-queen couldn't improve against the Cowboys of Diogo Vieira.
Day 2 chip leader Ai Guo Xu's run ended in a 22nd-place finish when he ran ace-ten into the ace-queen of Labryga, who used the knockout to build up a stack before entering the final table with 70 big blinds and the chip lead. Leading up to the final table, Labryga's ace-jack held up against the king-queen of Willem de Jong to send the Dutchman out in 10th place.
And in the final hour of play, Labryga eliminated Alexis Lucarini in ninth place with Big Slick as he dominated the fellow Frenchman's king-jack. The energetic Vasyl Zabrodskyy of Ukraine then bowed out in eighth place when his pocket sixes couldn't hold against Labryga's ace-jack.

Labryga Maximizes Profit in Three-Way Clash

Christopher Dowling raised to 500,000 from middle position, and got both blinds Jean Labryga and Oleksii Natoptanyi to call. The flopped was played passively by all players, as it checked around.
