Big Stacks Emerging

Nível 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Nível: 19

Blinds: 5,000/10,000

Ante: 10,000

Break Begins; Eliminations for 199th-223rd (€2,270)

Nível 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The 198 players are on a 20-minute break. The remaining players have locked €2,270 with the next pay jump coming when 183 are still in contention.

Back-To-Back All-Ins before the Break

Nível 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Wuai-Cheng Tsang
Wuai-Cheng Tsang

With a minute left before the break would start, Pascal Frezza opened from middle position to 16,000. His left-hand neighbor Andrea Campi was short-stacked and went all-in for 35,000. The action folded back to Frezza, who asked for a count and quickly called when he saw how much more it was.

Pascal Frezza: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Andrea Campi: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The dealer put out {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Frezza made trips while Campi got stuck on the underpair, resulting in his exit from the tournament.

On the next table over, a pot was brewing between Vladimir Lappo and Wuai-Cheng Tsang. The board read {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} and big blind Tsang had check-raised the 60,000 bet from button Lappo to put him all-in for 198,000 total. Lappo went into the tank for his tournament life while the rest of the players trickled out of the room on their break. Eventually Lappo called with {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for top pair but saw the bad news when Tsang tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for flopped trips.

The river {2-Spades} did not bring the miracle Lappo was hoping for, and he was the last player to seek the cashout desk before the break. Meanwhile Tsang happily stacked Lappo's chips as he moves up in the chip counts with what is now a seven-figure stack.

Petar Kalev: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Michel Pinville: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Kalev was dominated and was eliminated following the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} runout.

"I Survived again!" Matejczyk Doubles to Stay in Game

Nível 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Piotr Matejczyk raised to 25,000 from early position, leaving just a single 1,000 chip behind. Action folded around to Mathieu Rabalison in the big blind, who had the odds to make the call. He reshoved for Matejczyk's last 1,000.

Piotr Matejczyk: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Mathieu Rabalison: {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Matejczyk's hand held.

"I survived again!", said Matejczyk, "How many more lives am I going to get?"

Fisz Finds an Ace

Nível 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Kenny Deffrasnes opened to 16,000 from middle position and Francky Magliocco called from the cutoff. Elias Fisz then jammed for 148,000 from the big blind.

Deffrasnes quickly folded before Magliocco tank-called.

Elias Fisz: {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Francky Magliocco: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Fisz paired up to take the lead on the {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and he improved to two pair on the {5-Clubs} turn. The {j-Clubs} completed the board, and Fisz found an uplift in his stack.
