Mikolaj Zawadzki from Poland, who qualified for this event via a live satellite, mucked his hand out of turn and the dealer called the floor. The ruling was a two-hand penalty, meaning he had to sit out for two hands. Zawadzki was in disbelief at first and the other players thought it was a bit harsh too. “No warning?” asked Zawadzki, but the ruling stood.
The second hand he was forced to miss was his big blind and he returned to play his small blind. The dealer apologized for having to call the floor but Zawadzki manfully replied, “Don’t be sorry, it’s my fault.”
