Chartier Tanks

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Samuel Chartier

Ireland's Ciaran Burke opened the button to 13,000 and saw Canadian Sam Chartier three bet to 29,000 from the small blind. After the big blind folded, Burke made the call.

{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} on the flop and Chartier made it 31,000. That continuation bet was called pretty quickly by Burke who saw Chartier checking on the {J-Spades} turn. Burke bet out 79,000 and Chartier called. The river brought the {A-Clubs} on board and Chartier checked again. Burke bet out 129,000 which brought the action back to Chartier.

For minutes he looked both puzzled and agonized. Nobody dared to call the clock though and in the end Chartier folded. The dealer began to collect the chips to shove them to Burke. Chartier stared at Burke with a desperate face, dying to know what Burke had.

Burke checked his cards again and than revealed the {8-Clubs} to everyone before mucking.

Team Online Done and Dusted

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Marc-Andre Ladouceur
Marc-Andre Ladouceur

With around 40,000 in the pot and a flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Tapio Vihakas checked from the small blind and Team Online's Marc-Andre Ladouceur did the same from the big. Lars Anders Dahlin then bet 20,000, Vihakas called, and Ladouceur woke up with an all-in check-raise to 112,000. Dahlin then moved all in over the top for around 175,000 and Vihakas folded.

Ladouceur: {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Dahlin: {10-Spades}{a-Spades}

Ladouceur had flopped top pair, but his kicker had him in dire straits as Dahlin backed his top pair up with top kicker. The {2-Diamonds} turn left Ladouceur in need of a jack and a jack only on the river, but it wasn't in the cards as the {3-Spades} blanked. A solemn Ladouceur collected his belongings and then made his way to the payout desk in 81st place.

Two in a Row for Ka Kwan Lau

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Ka Kwan Lau
Ka Kwan Lau

Ka Kwan Lau was desperately short on chips and put his last 25,000 chips in the middle. Artem Romanov was sat in the big blind with a load of chips and decided to give him a spin with his {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Kwan Lau had the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and it just got better as the cards ran out {7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} to double him up.
Happy with the outcome, on the next hand he got Kwan Lau dramatically shovelled all his chips in as a pile. It folded round to Ireland’s Ciaran Burke who asked for an exact count and gave it some serious thought. It was 47,000 more to call; more significant of course than the last time. Burke made the call with {9-Spades}{8-Spades} and Kwan Lau surprised everyone by revealing the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. A final board of {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Kwan Lau doubled again. He even did a fake pump shove on the next hand but passed.

Kolossow Loses The Minimum

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

"I lost the minimum," said Stefan Kolossow to Moshe Elazar after the two of them clashed in a pot. Elazar, who is apparently Eli Elezera's brother, made it 14,000 from the cut-off, Nikita Nikolaev flat called on the button and Kolossow then three-bet to 36,000 from the small blind and both Elazar and Nikolaev called.

On the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{A-Spades} flop Elazar bet 25,000, Nikolaev folded but Kolossow stuck around to see the {K-Diamonds} hit the turn, both players checked and the {4-Spades} completed the board. It checked to Elazar he bet 48,000 and Kolossow tank called. Elazar rolled over {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for the flopped set and Kolossow folded. After that hand Elazar is up to 420,000

Okhotskyi Crowned by Kings

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

"All in and a call," we heard a dealer call from the corner of the room. We made our way over and discovered Murad Akhundov was all in for roughly 125,000 holding the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and in trouble against the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} of Oleh Okhotskyi, who barely had him covered.

The {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop was disaster for Akhundov as Okhotskyi spiked a set. That said, Akhundov did pick up a Broadway draw to a jack. The {6-Clubs} turn wasn't paint, and neither was the {A-Hearts} river. Akhundov rapped the table and then took his leave in 80th place.

Darren Elias
Darren Elias

On the feature table a big pot played out between Darren Elias and Stephen Chidwick. The former was all-in for 135,000 with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Chidwick held {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. The {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} flop opened up the possibility of a chop, the {6-Spades} turn gave Chidwick 12 outs for the win and one of them - the {4-Spades} - landed on the river to eliminate Elias.

Walid Bou Habib Eliminated by Vit Blachut in 74th Place (€11,100)

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Walid Bou Habib
Walid Bou Habib

Walid Bou Habib, who began the day as chip leader, opened the button to 15,000 and saw Vit Blachut three bet from the small blind to 31,000. The big blind quickly folded but Bou Habib wanted to see a flop and paid the additional 16,000.

Blachut made a 25,000 continuation bet on {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} but was soon met by a raise from Bou Habib. The Lebanese EPT Deauville runner up made it 68,000 and after some thinking Blachut made the call. The {10-Spades} fell on the turn and Blachut checked to Bou Habib. He thought for a little while before announcing all in. The call from Blachut couldn't have been faster.

Blachut showed up with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Bou Habib was drawing dead with his flopped top two; {7-Spades}{9-Spades}. The {10-Clubs} on the river didn't change a thing and Bou Habib was out just like that.
