Steve Billirakis Has Been Eliminated

Steve Billirakis - busted.
Steve Billirakis - busted.

Apologies for the sketchy update here but we didn't actually see Steve Billirakis bust and have received this information second hand.

His unknown conqueror raised to 625 on the button and Steve Billirakis three-bet to 2,100 from the big blind. Back on to the button and he raised to 4,600. Billirakis made it 9,200 and the player on the button moved all-in and Billirakis called.

Showdown

Unknown Player{A-} {7-}
Billirakis{A-} {Q-} (Sooted!)

Board: {A-} {10-} {5-} {7-} [brick]

Billirakis was out; eliminated by a player who did not want to be named because he was so embarrassed about the hand.

Kelly KO'd

Dan Kelly came pacing past us on his way out the door, so we hustled to his table just in time to see what had happened to him. With the help of James Dempsey, we know that Kelly three-bet a preflop raiser with pocket queens. The flop came ten-high, {10-} {4-} {7-}, and the caller check-raised Kelly's continuation bet. Kelly shoved over the top, and his opponent quickly called, turning over {10-Spades} {10-Clubs} for top set. Kelly was dead to two outs, and the turn and river blanked off to send him on his way.

King Karr

McLean Karr in control!
McLean Karr in control!

Mclean Karr is having a good few opening levels.

Jean Robert Bellande raised to 700 off his short-stack (8,000), the player to his immediate left called and Karr squeezed out a three-bet from the small blind for 2,175. Bellande folded but the opponent seated next to him made the call.

Flop: {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}

Karr bet 2,375 and his opponent called.

Turn: {10-Hearts}

Karr bet 7,775 and his opponent folded.

Try, Try Again; Then Give Up

Barry Greenstein raised to 750 in early position, and he found calls from both Sergey Novikov (two seats over) and Dan Kelly (button). Kelly would fold on the flop as Greenstein bet 1,300 on the {A-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. Novikov called, though, and he called another 2,500 after the {10-Hearts} turn. The river brought the {3-Clubs} and a third bullet from Greenstein -- a rainbow bet of 6,500. Novikov stacked together the call, then announced a raise. He put out 18,500, and Greenstein quickly folded, dipping a bit under starting stack.

Robert Mizrachi raised from his big stack, Dominik Nitsche cold-called from his little stack and Sandra Naujoks also called with her medium sized stack.

Flop: {Q-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {6-Clubs}

Naujoks checked to Mizrachi, and the raiser bet 1,400. Nitsche was next to act and he made the call, as did Naujoks.

Turn: {K-Spades}

Checkity-check-check

River: {2-Diamonds}

Both Naujoks and Mizrachi checked to Nitsche who moved all-in for 5,175 and Naujoks made the call before Mizrachi folded. It was curtains for Nitsche.

Showdown

Naujoks{J-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Nitsche{A-Hearts} {A-Spades}

Nitsche was angry with himself, "I nearly checked back that river as well," said Nitsche before heading to his room to play online.

Ramdin Bests Kovalchuk

Oleksii Kovalchuk, James MItchell and Victor Ramdin put 2,650 in each preflop with the flop falling {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Kovalchuk bet 5,000 and Mitchell folded. Ramdin called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and both players checked. The river landed with the {A-Spades} and both checked again. Kovalchuk tabled the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Ramdin the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Ramdin's hand was best and he scooped the pot.
