Negreanu's Quest Continues

If you've been following the WSOP coverage on PokerNews or watching Daniel Negreanu's YouTube Vlog, you know Kid Poker has been making deep runs all summer. Most recently, he was eliminated in fifth place in the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship. That was his fourth final table this summer, including the $10,000 Omaha Eight or Better, where he finished as the runner-up to Abe Mosseri.

Negreanu is right back at it, registering the $1,500 Razz only about an hour after being eliminated from the PPC. He just won a pot and is on an uptick early in Level 4.

Sixth street paired Player 2 and gave Leah a ten. Leah bet, and Player 2 called. On seventh, they both checked, and Leah won with a nine, showing {a-}{9-}{6-}.

Jake Schwartz Makes a Six

Jake Schwartz called with a five after the player to his right completed with an ace. Schwartz hit a six, and his opponent hit a five. Schwartz called another bet. On fifth street, Schwartz hit a three, and his opponent paired his five. They continued for one more bet apiece, and his opponent only had 75 behind. Schwartz got it all in, and the two players revealed their hands with two cards to come.

Schwartz had a made six low and was ahead. His opponent showed a draw to a five and had two shots to hit either a three or a six to win the hand. He bricked both streets, hitting a king on sixth and another ace on seventh.

Grizzle Takes One, Then Needles His Opponent

Sam Grizzle was facing a bet from his opponent on fourth street. Grizzle decided to raise, making it two bets, and his opponent called. Both players checked on fifth street, then Grizzle resumed betting on sixth street. His opponent called.

The player called one more bet from Grizzle on seventh, but wasn't pleased to see Grizzle's {5-}{6-}{9-} for an eighty-six low.

"You got me," the player said to Grizzle.

"Don't worry," Grizzle said after the hand. "You can re-enter this one, can't you?"

Catching the action on sixth street with over 2,000 already in the pot, Chris Vitch called a bet from his opponent. On seventh, Vitch's opponent bet again, and Vitch paid it off.

The player showed {8-}{7-}{Q-} for an eight-seven low, and Vitch turned his cards face-down. He took a couple looks at them then pitched them in, awarding the pot to his opponent and dropping to just 4,000 chips.

On fourth street, after a check, Ramdin bet and was called by his opponent. Ramdin's opponent bet on fifth, and he called. On sixth street, Ramdin paired his {4-} and folded before his opponent could even get chips into the pot.

That dropped Ramdin down to just 3,725, which is a little less than half of the starting stack for today.

"I have a ten-nine," said Kassela, and Friedman turned over {2-}{3-}{10-}, showing an eight-low.
