Razz: It's Always Fun

Nível 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Frankie O'Dell just bricked a few hands in a row. The first hand, he was against Benny Glaser, and it was bricks galore for both players. They also had a short stack all in, who just didn't brick quite as hard.

Benny Glaser: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{a-}{k-}{7-} / {x-}
Frankie O'Dell: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{10-}{q-}{q-} / {x-}
Player 2: {x-}{x-} / {9-}{8-}{9-}{5-} / {x-}
Player 3: {x-}{x-} / {3-}{3-}{k-} - fold

Player 2 bet 75 and was all in on fourth street. Glaser and Player 3 called, and O'Dell completed the bet. Both Glaser and Player 3 called. On fifth, the bricks continued, with O'Dell hitting a queen and Glaser and Player 3 both hitting a king. O'Dell bet, and Glaser was the lone caller.

On sixth, O'Dell bricked again with a queen, and Glaser hit a seven. Glaser bet, and O'Dell called. On seventh, both players checked, and Glaser took the side pot with {j-}{6-}{4-} in his hand, making a jack-low that O'Dell couldn't beat. Player 2 won the main pot with a nine-low.

On the next hand, O'Dell started with a two against Alex Luneau's nine. Fourth street brought another queen for O'Dell, while Luneau hit a four. O'Dell called one bet. Fifth street was equally unkind to O'Dell, who hit another face card, this time a king. He tossed his up-cards into the muck, visibly frustrated, and Luneau won the hand.

Jack is Good For Owen

Nível 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Owen: {x-}{x-} / {j-}{4-}{8-}{q-} / {x-}
Kurtzman: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{9-}{k-}{9-} / {x-}

Eric Kurtzman completed, and Adam Owen defended his bring-in.

On fourth street, Kurtzman bet, and Owen called. On fifth, Owen picked up the betting lead and led out, and this time, Kurtzman called. Kurtzman called another bet on sixth, then both players checked it down on seventh.

Owen showed {J-}{6-}{3-} and for a jack-low, and it was good. As Kurtzman mucked, he briefly showed {A-}{5-}.

"What did you think I had?" Kurtzman asked.

Scott Abrams is Gonna Get You

Nível 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Abrams: {x-}{x-} / {3-}{2-}{j-}{j-} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{4-}{8-}{A-} / {x-}
Opponent 2: {x-}{x-} / {9-}{Q-}{J-} - fold

Catching the action on fourth street, Scott Abrams bet and was called by two players. On fifth street, Abrams' opponent picked up the betting lead and led out. One player folded, but Abrams called. Abrams called bets again on sixth and seventh streets.

"Six-five," the player said, showing {6-}{7-}{3-}.

"Again?" Abrams asked. He sent over the chips to his opponent, then pointed his finger at him. "I'm gonna get you," Abrams said.

Phil Hui Needs Roland Israelashvili To Leave

Nível 4 : 250/500, 50 ante
Phillip Hui
Phillip Hui

"What time does break end in the $3k?" Phil Hui asked as we walked by his table. There was about 20 minutes left on their break. "We need Roland [Israelashvili] to get outta here," Hui continued. "How much do you got over there, Roland? Like 44,000?"

Israelashvili shook his head, and the two continued discussing what Israelashvili's plans would be when his dinner break was over in Event #68.

A few hands later, Phil Hui completed with his {7-} up and was called by another player, who was also holding a {7-}.

Hui: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{10-}{6-}{9-} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{9-}{9-}{2-} / {x-}

On fourth street, Hui check-called a bet, then led out when his opponent paired on fifth street. Hui led again on sixth and seventh, and his opponent called both times.

Hui separated his {10-} and {9-} from his {6-} and {7-}, then fanned out {4-}{3-}{2-} in the middle. His seven-six was good to take down the pot, and he raked it in.

Israelashvili at the table or not, Hui doesn't seem to be having much trouble raking in chips.

Adam Owen "Plays Aggressively" Against Phil Hellmuth

Nível 4 : 250/500, 50 ante

Adam Owen: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{8-}{2-}
Phil Hellmuth: {x-}{x-} / {2-}{5-}{5-}
Player 3: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{2-}{a-}

On fourth street, Player 3 led, and Phil Hellmuth called. Adam Owen raised, and both players called. On fifth, Hellmuth paired his five, and Owen bet after hitting a two. Player 3 and Hellmuth both folded.

"He plays really aggressively," said Hellmuth.

Hellmuth said that one time, Owen played so aggressively that Hellmuth folded the best hand and would have had Owen drawing dead. He went on to say that he won that tournament eventually.

"The cream rises," said Owen.

As Owen was collecting the pot, Eric Kurtzman sat down to Hellmuth's right. With the addition of Kurtzman and Mark Gregorich in the eight seat, this is easily one of the more stacked tables in the field.

Bleznick Out

Nível 4 : 250/500, 50 ante

Bleznick: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{2-}{4-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{6-}{2-}

A player completed with a {5-} and was called by Jared Bleznick, who was showing an {8-}.

On fourth street, the player checked over to Bleznick, who bet, and the player called. On fifth street, Bleznick's opponent led out, Bleznick made it two bets, and the player called. Bleznick then moved all in in the dark for 350 more before sixth street, and his opponent called.

Bleznick was holding {10-}{3-} for a ten-eight low already made, while his opponent held {10-}{8-} for a slightly worse ten low. Bleznick's opponent, however, improved on sixth with a {4-} and again on seventh with an {A-}, making him a sixty-five low.

Bleznick drew a {9-} on sixth and was drawing dead. He mucked his hand and exited the tournament area.
