2016 PPC Champion Brian Rast has been eliminated from the tournament. According to Rast on Twitter, he suffered a rough run of cards which eventually spelled his demise.

2015 winner Mike Gorodinsky has also been sent to the rail, which leaves David Bach, Michael Mizrachi, and Matthew Ashton as the last former champions in the field

Miller Can't Improve His Trips

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Ryan Miller had trip fours on his board, leading out on sixth street. Felipe Ramos, however, opted to raise. Miller called and both players checked the river.

Miller: {X-}{X-} / {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} / {X-}
Ramos: {X-}{X-} / {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Diamonds} / {X-}

Ramos showed {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a flush and, while Miller double-checked his cards, he still couldn't find a full house among his seven-card hand.

"Nice hand," Johnny Chan, who stood up from his seat on the other side of the table, observed.

Ramos' neighbour and current chip leader Aaron Katz celebrated, "Braziiil!" trying to imitate a Latin American accent.

Ramos smiled, raking in the pot.

Wilkinson Doubles Through Katz

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Wil Wilkinson raised from the small blind after Cary Katz raised button. That was the only 15,000 Wilkinson had, and Katz called.

Wilkinson: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Katz: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}. That gave Wilkinson sixes and an ace-three for low, good for a scoop as Katz hadn't paired and had an ace-five on the low end.

Katz Pushing Towards a Milly

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Aaron Katz bet from the big blind on a board of {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Bruno Fitoussi raised in the cutoff. Katz made it three bets and Fitoussi called. On the {10-Clubs} river, Fitoussi called a final bet, and Katz showed {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for nines full. Fitoussi mucked his {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} face up.

Matusow Pots the Turn

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Ray Dehkharghani raised to 5,200 from the button and found two callers in the blinds: Mike Matusow (small blind) and Timofey Kuznetsov (big blind).

Matusow led out 10,000 on the {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop and, while Kuznetsov folded immediately, Dehkharghani took his time before calling.

Matusow announced "pot" on the {8-Hearts} turn and Dehkharghani folded right away.

Seiver Shoves Over Mizrachi

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Scott Seiver

No-Limit Hold'em

Michael Mizrachi made it 6,000 from under the gun, Scott Seiver called one seat over, and Benny Glaser defended his big blind. The flop was {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Glaser checked, Mizrachi bet 8,000, Seiver called, and Glaser folded. On the {3-Hearts} turn, Mizrachi checked, Seiver bet 26,000, and Mizrachi called.

The river brought the {10-Clubs} and Mizrachi quickly flung three T$25,000 chips forward. Seiver spent the better part of two minutes in the tank before shoving all in, putting Mizrachi to a decision for his remaining 260,000. "The Grinder" agonised over it for several minutes before relinquishing his hand.

Leah Picks Off Negreanu with Ace High

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Four players saw the {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{J-Spades} flop but neither of them was interested in betting.

The {4-Diamonds} turn landed for free and small blind Mike Leah checked to big blind Daniel Negreanu who bet out 12,500. Ivo Donev and Ralph Perry folded but Leah called after about a minute.

Leah checked on the {3-Clubs} river again and Negreanu threw in a small bet of 12,000. Leah paused for a minute and then called.

"King-queen," Negreanu said, revealing his {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for a pure king high. Leah himself didn't have much, but his {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} was still good to earn him the pot.
