Zaichenko's Seven No Good

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Razz

Bertrand Grospellier bet with three to a wheel against two opponents on sixth. Andrey Zaichenko called with three to a seven, and David Bach mucked despite showing three to a six.

Zaichenko: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{q-}{5-}{3-}
Bach: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{q-}{3-}{6-} (folded on sixth street)
Grospellier: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{k-}{2-}{5-}

Grospellier bet the river as well. Zaichenko quickly called. "ElkY" rolled over {6-}{4-}{7-} for a six low. Zaichenko mucked his {2-}{4-}{8-} face up, showing he'd made a seven.

Eight-Perfect for Kenney

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Shaun Deeb and Bryn Kenney were in for three bets preflop and drew two cards apiece on the first draw. Deeb checked and Kenney checked behind. Deeb took one card on the second draw while Kenney drew two. Deeb bet dark and Kenney called.

On the final draw, both players drew one card. Deeb bet, Kenney raised, and Deeb considered it briefly before calling.

Kenney fanned out {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for an eight-perfect and Deeb mucked.

Soulier Can't Call Sion's Big Barrel

Nível 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

On the flop reading {2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}, big blind Elior Sion led out 25,200 for what looked to be a pot-sized bet. Fabrice Soulier, seated directly to Sion's left, gave it some thought and called.

Sion, however, threw in another hefty barrel on the {4-Spades} turn, throwing in 75,000. Soulier had only a little more than that behind, and he decided to keep that, folding his hand.

Lakemeier Survives

Nível 8 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Razz

Fabrice Soulier completed with a {2-}, Jens Lakemeier put most of his stack in on a raise with an {8-}, and Phil Hui called with an {8-}. Soulier put in another raise to get Lakemeier all in, and Hui called once again, jokingly asking if it was a bounty event.

Soulier and Hui checked down the whole way.

Soulier: {9-}{7-}{5-}/{2-}{j-}{10-}{7-}
Lakemeier: {4-}{7-}{6-}/{8-}{a-}{8-}{k-}
Hui: {x-}{x-}/{8-}{3-}{q-}{6-}/{x-}

Hui announced a jack, but Soulier made a ten. Lakemeier revealed he had made an eight and swept up the small but crucial pot.

Goldfarb Takes Down Capped Three-Way Pot

Nível 8 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Hijack Robert Goldfarb started a raising war that ended up as a capped pot predraw, with three players still in contention.

Big blind Scott Seiver took two on the first draw. Goldfarb stood pat and Glaser drew one. Goldfarb placed in another bet, and the second draw copied the previous one.

Goldfarb bet again, and only Glaser stuck around for the third round. He decided to change one while Golfarb was still patting.

Both players then checked, and Goldfarb rolled over his {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-} to scoop the pot.

Selected Chip Counts

Nível 8 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Negreanu Scoops Donev

Nível 8 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Daniel Negreanu bet fifth, sixth, and seventh streets with three low cards on board against Ivo Donev, who had three hearts face up.

Negreanu: {j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}/{j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}
Donev: {x-}{x-}/{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}/{x-}

Negreanu had jacks with a seven-perfect and that was good for a scoop.

Chen Clashes With Martin, Receives One-Round Penalty

Nível 8 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Jesse Martin
Jesse Martin

Pot-Limit Omaha

There was big consternation over at Table 726 where Tommy Chen had moved all in. The board was reading {Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Jesse Martin had 67,000 in front of him. Chen had shoved for 126,500 and had exposed his hand before Martin had called off the extra chips.

Although the odds were great, Martin had not called yet, and, as Chen had exposed {Q-}{Q-}{X-}{X-} for the nuts, he tried to figure out if it was worth the call. Both players got in a heated argument and verbally traded insults while Martin was deciding on a call, which resulted in the floor staff coming over to calm things down.

Eventually, Martin folded his hand and Chen received a one-round penalty for exposing his cards prematurely.
