Players are on Break

Nível 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Players are off on their second break of the day and tournament officials are coloring up the 25-denomination chips. The official number of entries for Day 1e has come in at 3,966 and there are already under 1,000 players remaining for the day. The action should remain at a quick pace until the money bubble approaches.

Moorman Triple Barrels with Aces

Nível 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Chris Moorman raised preflop from the cutoff and received one caller from a player in early position. The flop came {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and his opponent checked. Moorman bet 1,200 and his opponent called.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and, once again, the action was checked to Moorman who bet 3,000. His opponent called again.

The river landed the {4-Clubs} and his opponent quickly checked. Moorman put out a bet of 5,700. His opponent shuffled his chips and thought about what to do for a lengthy time. He finally called and Moorman showed {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} for top set and his opponent disgustedly threw his cards in the muck.

Arman Sogomonian Flops a Set, Eliminates Two

Nível 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Arman Sogomonian raised from early position and one of his opponents moved all in from late position for 6,500. The button also pushed all in for less and Sogomonian called. Sogomonian held {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and was ahead of both opponents having the only pair. The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} and a set of sixes was good for Sogomonian to scoop the pot and knock out both opponents.

Martin Finger Doubles

Nível 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Martin Finger registered late for flight 1E and he stopped to grab some food as he strolled in. Finger also got a timely double up after he flopped a set of queens on a {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} board vs the flush draw {A-Spades}{8-Spades} of his opponent. The board ran out the {J-Diamonds} and {7-Clubs} and Finger was able to avoid a spade.

Finger stacked his chips and continued eating his lunch, while another player on the table said to him, "You know how to do it! Just register late for the tournament and then double up. I've been doing it all wrong sitting here since 10:00 a.m."

Registration Almost Closed

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Level 6 is nearing the end which means registration will be closing soon. The tournament board is currently reading 3,950 entries, but tournament staff will be giving players one last chance to surrender their chip stack for the chance to rebuy if they haven't already done so.

Ladies Making an Appearance

Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

A couple ladies that some are predicting to win a WSOP bracelet this year have entered in the field. Cate Hall and Kristen Bicknell have registered for Day 1e and joined the rest of the players in the Amazon Room.

After min-cashing last night in Day 1d but unable to bag chips at the end of the night, Bicknell is back again today hoping to reach Day 2 tomorrow. Hall is entering the Colossus III for the first time this year and hoping all she needs is that one bullet to make it all the way. Will that gold bracelet people are predicting come in this event??
