Mansour Alipourfard Eliminated in 14th Place ($32,995)

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Mansour Alipourfard
Mansour Alipourfard

Eluterio Rodriguez raised to 130,000, and Mansour Alipourfard moved all in from one seat over. Once the action was back on Rodriguez, he asked to pull in his raise to determine how much more he had to call. The shove of Alipourfard was for another 610,000 on top, and Rodriguez carefully cut out the chips for that and called a mere 10 seconds later.

Mansour Alipourfard: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Eluterio Rodriguez: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

"Eight on the flop," Rodriguez said before the flop fell {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

"Eight on the turn," Rodriguez demanded. It was the {3-Hearts} instead.

"Eight on the river," Rodriguez added. The third time was not the charm either, but the blank {5-Hearts} river was no threat.

"Good run," the rail and players at the table said while Alipourfard headed to the payout desk. He collected $32,995 for his efforts, and the field was reduced to the last 13 hopefuls.

Castaing Gets Very Tricky Against Klein

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Bill Klein opened to 125,000, and Federico Castaing called in the small blind.

On the {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop, Castaing checked, and Klein continued for 100,000. Castaing check-raised to 210,000, and Klein reraised to 390,000, which Castaing called. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Castaing checked again, and Klein bet 200,000. Castaing check-raised to 400,000, and that shut down Klein.

Spitzberg Finds a Way to Slow Heimiller

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Paul Spitzberg opened with a raise to 135,000 from the button. He found one call from Dan Heimiller in the big blind.

On the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop, both players checked. The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Heimiller put out a bet of 100,000 that was quickly called by Spitzberg.

The river was the {10-Spades}, and Heimiller decided to fire again, this time for 500,000. Spitzberg did not take long at all to call.

"Good call," Heimiller said, turning up {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. Spitzberg showed {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and his ace-high with two pair on the board was good enough to take down the pot.

Alipourfard Gets Short

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After coming back from dinner, Mansour Alipourfard raise-folded in one hand, and the blinds went through him to see his stack dwindle near the danger zone of 10 big blinds. Eluterio Rodriguez limped from the small blind, and Alipourfard moved all in and claimed the pot without showdown.

One hand later, Lewis LeClair raised, and William Murray called in the big blind. The flop came {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and Murray checked, LeClair bet 200,000, and that ended the hand right there.

David Michaud
David Michaud

David Michaud moved all in from the small blind, and he was quickly called by Anthony Licastro.

Michaud: {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Licastro: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The flop gave Michaud a straight draw when it came {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, but he bricked out on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river, and that secured his elimination from the tournament. For his 15th-place finish, Michaud collected $32,995.

Many Hands, Very Few Flops

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Since coming back from dinner, many fast hands have been played, but not many of them have actually gone to a flop. Peter Smaha was very active over on Table 708 and raised several times to build his stack slightly.

Over on Table 700, Bill Klein raised to 125,000, and Dan Heimiller called. The flop of {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} was checked to Heimiller, and he bet 175,000 to win the pot.

Murray Picks off Bacon's Bluff

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

There was a bet and a call between Gina Bacon and William Murray on a board of {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, creating a big pot of over 500,000 leading to the river, which was the {9-Clubs}.

On the river, Bacon was first to act, and she bet 300,000. Murray tanked for almost three minutes before he finally called. Bacon turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for queens with an ace-high, and it was no good, because Murray called her down with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for two pair, queens and tens. That was enough to take down the pot and move Murray past two million chips.

A Chip and a Chair For Michaud

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

In the first hand after coming back from dinner, Frank Maggio pushed for 880,000 from under the gun, and David Michaud reshoved for two big blinds more on the button.

Frank Maggio: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
David Michaud: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

"I need an ace," Maggio said, and his wish was granted on the {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. Both the {2-Clubs} turn and {Q-Clubs} river left Michaud with just 100,000, and 5,000 of that went in as ante the next hand.

Dan Heimiller raised to 150,000, and Michaud called all in for 95,000. The rest of the table got out of the way.

David Michaud: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Dan Heimiller: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}

This time, the kings were not cracked, as the board came {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Michaud bumped his stack up to six big blinds but remains in the danger zone.
