One day is down and two to go in Event #11: $1,500 Dealers Choice 6-Handed.

Roughly a quarter of the field made it through Day 1 of the mixed game bonanza as 89 of 364 players advanced, and there are plenty of mixed game crushers dotting the leaderboard for poker fans to keep an eye on as Day 2 of the event progresses. Justin Bonomo (70,900), Marco Johnson (61,300), Jon Turner (46,000), David Bach (43,100) and Robert Mizrachi (41,500) are all among the bigger stacks.

Mizrachi, of course, is perhaps the most accomplished player in the short history of these dealer's choice events, which date to 2014 at the WSOP. He finished first in the inaugural running for $147,092 and followed that up with third place in 2015 for $51,236.

All, however, have work to do to catch chip leader Troy Evans (76,200).

Taking place over in the former poker kitchen in the Miranda Room, Day 2 is scheduled to see 10 more one-hour levels, with players sifting through the stack of 20-odd game plaques and selecting their games of choice for a round apiece. There will be a one-hour dinner break at the conclusion of today's sixth level.

Keep an eye here on PokerNews as we bring you updates throughout the day.

Painter Eliminated

Nível 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Catching the action on the second draw, Jameson Painter drew two and was all in as his opponent Scott Milkey drew two also.

Heading into the final draw, Milkey stood pat and Painter drew one.

Milkey fanned his {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a rough eight-eight as Painter revealed his {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and squeezed his last card.

Needing a low diamond to stay alive, Painter would indeed catch one with the {2-Diamonds}, but since it made him a pair, Painter would be eliminated early here on Day 2.

No Showdown for Reiss

Nível 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

JR Reiss raised to 2,100 after Kevin Iacofano limped, and Iacofano called after all the others folded. Reiss fired 2,100 on the {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, and Iacofano called. Both checked the {3-Spades} turn, and a {4-Clubs} completed the board. Iacofano checked, and Reiss bet what looked like 6,000. Iacofano folded fairly quickly, and the Omaha native scooped the pot without a showdown.

Evans Folds to Newman

Nível 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Troy Evans opened with a raise to 2,400 and Clayton Newman defended from the big blind as both players drew two. Newman led out for 1,200 and Evans called and then drew one after Newman stood pat. Newman then bet out 2,400 and Evans tossed his cards to the muck.

Steury Survives

Nível 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Aaron Steury was in the big blind on the first draw against Kyle Bowker, who was under the gun. Steury took two and bet after Bowker drew three. Bowker raised and Steury stuck the last of his money in.

Steury drew two and Bowker one, then both drew one on the final draw.

Steury flipped over {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, and Bowker had what looked like a {4-}{3-}{2-}{a-} with a three-card badugi. He drew a useless king on the end and Steury turned over an {8-Spades} for a scooper.
