Liang Takes From Zobian

Nível 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Aram Zobian raised the button and Patrick Liang called in the big blind. On the 1063 flop, Liang check-called for 3,400 and did so again for 10,000 on the 7 turn.

The A fell on the river and Liang checked again. Zobian bet 19,500 and Liang called for Zobian to declare a straight.

"Flush," Liang replied and tabled the 62 to win the pot.

Cowen Cowed

Robert Cowen was seen getting up from his table as he had been eliminated early on Day 2.

His Ax10x had gone up in flames against the AxKx of Bradley Howard as a king hit the flop to effectively end things for Cowen right then.

Choi Suffers Brutal Cooler to Bust

Nível 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Yoon Choi was already all in on the button for his remaining stack against Michael Whitton, who was in the cutoff, on a completed board of JJ9QK.

Whitton turned over JJ for quads and Choi tabled QQ for a turned full house, which got a collective, "Wow," from his tablemates as the pot was sent Whitton's way.

Lee Check-Raises Flop

Nível 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action was picked up in a pot where Stanley Lee defended his big blind versus an under the gun open from Hedi Boussetta.

The flop read 10107 and Lee checked over to Boussetta who bet 1,000. Lee raised to 3,000 and Boussetta wasted little time in calling.

On the turn 3, Lee sized up to 5,400 which saw Boussetta quickly release his hand into the muck.

Reis Puts a Massive Cooler on Whitehouce

David Whitehouce was in the small blind and had a raise of 6,000 in front of him before Rafael Reis reraised to 14,000 in the cutoff. Whitehouce then moved all in and Reis snap-called for 50,700.

Whitehouce barely had Harel covered and didn't catch any miracles on the J5773 as Reis doubled up, dropping Whitehouce to a short stack early on Day 2.

Tice Takes One Early

Tracey Rudd from early position to 1,700, before Landon Tice in middle position three-bet to 5,000. After it folded back to Rudd, she made the call.

The flop came 4A3 and Rudd check-called the bet of 3,000 from Tice.

Both players checked the Q turn and J river.

Rudd showed down 10x10x but Tice had the winner with A9 for top pair.

Chilaud Rivers Two Pair

Eric Ahn raised the button to 2,000 and Maxime Chilaud three-bet from the big blind to 6,900, Ahn called.

On the Q8A flop, Chilaud continued for 3,600, and Ahn called.

Both players decided to check the 7 turn to see a K land on the river. Chilaud fired 13,800, which Ahn called after some consideration.

Chilaud tabled KQ for two pair, and Ahn mucked.

Kang Chips Up Against Jun

Three ways to the Q75 flop, Cesar Rainero checked and Mark Jun bet 4,000. Yoon Kang called from the next seat and Rainero folded. Both players knuckled the felt on the 8 turn and J river to see Kang table the A7 as the winning hand, further building his large stack to begin with.

2021 Runner Up Trying to Spin it Up

The 2021 Main Event second-place finisher George Holmes started the day with a shorter stack and he was involved in a three-way hand with two other shorter stacks as they all saw the flop of Q2J.

Holmes led for 3,700 from the big blind. Laurent Cessy folded, leaving himself less than ten big blinds and Christine Ramello also folded to give Holmes a modest pot as he looks to spin it up on Day 2.
