Two Instant Aces vs. Kings Bustouts in WSOP Main Event on Day 1c

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
David Moses
David Moses

David Moses became the fourth player in three days to bust at the start of a Day 1 session in the $10,000 buy-in World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. And he wasn't the only one eliminated right off the bat on Day 1c.

On Wednesday — Day 1a — two players were eliminated at separate tables on the first hand. One player lost with a full house against quads, while another flopped a set that was cracked by a straight. More of the same occurred on Day 1b when a flush beat a straight. Unfortunately, for one well-known poker pro, it's happened again for the third straight day.

Nut Flush Over Second-Nut Flush For Sommer

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was replayed after a hand as on the river with a pot of about 27,000 and a board with three diamonds on it. Action was swift as Robin Sommer bet 15,000, Juvenal Juarez raised enough to put Sommer all in which he did quickly.

Juarez tabled the K5 second-nut flush but Sommer had that bested with the A10 for the nut flush as he doubled his stack.

Jacks Hold Up For McKuin vs Salas

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Damian Salas had raised from the cutoff, the small blind called and Steven McKuin three-bet out of the big blind to 3,000. Salas then four-bet it to 10,900 when it was back on him. The small blind folded and McKuin took his time before calling the four bet.

The flop came 695, both players checked slowly. The turn was the K and the river the 8 as both McKuin and Salas checked it down deliberately, waiting several moments between each check.

McKuin tabled the JJ which was the winner as Salas mucked.

Pecelj Gets River Raise Paid Off

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a board of A944 there were around 15,000 chips in the pot when Pavle Pecelj and his opponent both checked.

A 10 landed on the turn and after being faced with a 6,000-chip bet, Pecelj raised to 15,000. It took some time but his opponent eventually called.

Pecelj tabled AK for top pair, which won him the pot and got his chip stack back to around 60,000.

Depaulo Bets it All

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A player in middle position raised to 600 and was called by the player in the hijack. Ryan Depaulo then squeezed to 3,500 from the cutoff and the player on the button called cold. The initial raiser and caller called as well for a four-way pot.

Action checked to Depaulo on the J610 flop and he continued for 2,200. The button and player in middle position called.

It was again checked to Depaulo on the 5 turn and he sized up for a 15,000 bet. Only the button called.

Depaulo shoved for 37,100 total after the 4 completed the board and his opponent folded after a lengthy tank — awarding the bloated pot to Depaulo.
