Koray Aldemir limped in from the button before Alex Keating made it 15,000. The 2021 WSOP Main Event winner moved all in for 102,900 and Keating called after a few seconds.
Koray Aldemir: A♠4♥
Alex Keating: A♣J♣
Aldemir was dominated and was drawing even more thinly after Keating paired up on the K♥J♦5♦ flop. Keating was pumped to see to the 9♣ turn, securing the checkmark before the 9♠ river completed the board.

Down to his last 38,500, Kane Kalas open jammed on the button, and Brandon Brown said, "Good Luck" and made the call.
Kane Kalas A♠5♦
Brandon Brown A♦J♦
Kalas was in desperate need of help after being dominated by Browns hand, and he found just that when the flop came 8♥5♥9♣ and it was now Brown the one looking to improve. However, the turn brought the 9♥ and the river was the 2♠ to give Kane the double up and the 77,000 chip pot with his 2 pair of 9s and 5s.
Marko Grujic shoved on the button and a short-stacked Alex Foxen called all in for approximately 20,000 to put himself at risk.
Alex Foxen: Q♣7♠
Marko Grujic: K♦3♦
Foxen would need some help, but the 6♥J♥4♥6♠9♣ runout kept Grujic ahead with his king and Foxen was eliminated.
At another table, Kane Kalas had a bet of 5,800 in front of him on a completed board of 5♠K♦6♥J♠Q♥. Brandon Brown then shoved, which was enough to put Kalas all in for his last 60,000.
Kalas thought it over, but eventually made the call and Brown turned over 7♦4♠ for a whiffed straight draw.
Kalas tabled K♠3♥ for a pair of kings and was awarded the double up.
Alex Keating and Koray Aldemir arrived on the turn with 24,000 in the middle on a 10♣5♣6♣K♦ board.
Aldemir check-called a bet of 18,000 from Keating as the river brought in the 8♣.
With the fourth club now showing, Aldemir checked and Keating thought for a moment before checking back. Keating's check allowed him to lose the minimum, as Aldemir turned over A♣9♥ for the ace-high flush.
On a board of J♦A♣6♦9♦, Matthew Wantman check-called a 16,000 bet from Linglin Zeng.
The 5♥ filled the river and Wantman checked a final time. Zeng bet enough to put Wantman all in for his last 60,000.
Wantman studied Zeng for some time before committing the rest of his stack into the middle. Zeng could only show K♠3♦ for a king-high and Wantman turned over J♠10♦ for a pair of jacks for the double up.
Nick Schulman jammed for around 42,000 from the button and Michael Steele called from the big blind.
Nick Schulman: AxJ♦
Michael Steele: 7♦7♣
Schulman added a plethora outs on the Q♦10♦9♦ flop, having an open-ended straight flush draw to go along with his overcards.
Miraculously, Steele's pocket pair remained best as the board bricked out with the 2♥2♣.
Chance Kornuth raised on the button to 6,000, and Chanracy Khun three-bet to 15,000. Kornuth made a four-bet to 28,500, and Khun shoved all in for his remaining 100,000 chips, which Kornuth called.
Chance Kornuth QxQx
Chanracy Khun A♦5♦
The 2♥J♠7♣4♦J♦ board did not improve Khun's hand, and he was eliminated in Round 1.
Kornuth will now move on to round 2, where he will face Joseph Miller.
