Stephen Chidwick open-jammed on the button for Jeremy Ausmus' remaining 70,000 chips. Ausmus then made the call to put his tournament life at risk.

The flop ran out 5♣Q♦Q♠, and although the turn 2♦ gave Ausmus a flush draw, his outs were no good, as Chidwick had the diamonds dominated. So, with just six outs once, the 7♠ sealed Ausmus' fate, and he was eliminated from the tournament, as Chidwick's jack-high was good.

Chidwick will go on to play Artur Martiosian in Round 2 later today.

Wantman held the lead, and the A♣5♠4♥ flop improved him to two pair and left Zeng drawing to runner-runner.

The 9♥ turn sealed the deal and an irrelevant Q♦ completed the board — eliminating Zeng from contention.

Mizumoto Secures the Comeback to Advance

Weston Mizumoto was seen scooping another large pot, securing a double up to take the lead over his opponent, Joshua Heinzl.

Mizumoto's Q♠Q♦ bested Heinzl's 6♦7♠ on a run out of 3♥5♦7♥J♥J♠.

A short while later, Mizumoto went on to finish off Heinzl and book the win to advance.

Elias Can't Overcome Moron

Elias limped in from the button and called off his stack of around 140,000 when Moron moved all in for 160,000 from the big blind.
