A big pot formed between Aleksejs Ponakovs and Christoph Vogelsang that left the table cheering and ahhing at the end of it all.
The two players got to the river on a board of 4♠10♦10♣5♠2♣ with an array of blue 100,000-chips and green 25,000-chips already in the middle. Ponakovs bet around 540,000 with just a few chips behind and it was to force a fold from Vogelsang.
As the dealer pushed him the biggest pot of the day so far, Ponakovs tabled the 8♥ to bring roars from his tablemates.
"That was sick!" said Jason Koon. "Big balls. Big balls. Big champion-sized balls."

Matthias Eibinger became the latest crusher to join the field.
Eibinger, Austria's All-Time Money List leader, has $19.6 million in live tournament earnings and has banked two seven-figure paydays since October 2023.

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 18,000 from under the gun, Nick Petrangelo called in middle position and Barak Wisbrod defended in the big blind.
The action checked to Kisacikoglu, who continued for 10,000. Both players called.
The 3♠ turn saw the action now check to Petrangelo, who took the lead for 72,000. Only Kisacikoglu called.
The 4♥ river saw Kisacikoglu play in flow. Petrangelo sized up to 235,000 and Kisacikoglu was forced to fold.

The J♠J♦7♣ flop checked through to the 7♠ turn. Bonomo bet 30,000 and Vogelsang called, bringing in the 3♥ river. Bonomo sized up to 160,000 and Vogelsang quickly folded.

Christoph Vogelsang opened to 21,000 on the button and Dan Smith and Ben Tollerene came along from the blinds.
Smith led out for 22,000 on the 3♦5♠6♠ flop and Tollerene folded before Vogelsang raised to 66,000. Smith called.
Smith checked on the 2♥ turn and Vogelsang checked back. Smith then bet 65,000 as the J♠ came in on the river and Vogelsang folded.

Artur Martirosian raised to 20,000 from the cutoff and Stephen Chidwick called, on the button.
Both players checked to the river as the full board now read 4♦K♦Q♠A♦J♥. Martirosian placed a very delayed continuation bet of 40,000, earning a fold from Chidwick.
Meanwhile, on adjacent tables, Kathy Lehne and Charles Hook sat down with two fresh stacks of 1,500,000.
