Danny Wong raised on the button, Naoya Kihara reraised in the small blind, and Motoyoshi Okamura called. Wong also called as he and Kihara drew two, while Okamura took one.
Okamura then bet and both opponents called. Okamura stood pat, Kihara drew one, while Wong took two.
Okamura bet again and only Kihara called this time. Kihara drew one more while Okamura stood pat. Both players checked and Okamura showed an 8-7 to win the pot.
Chino Rheem opened from under the gun and folded out all other players except Jerry Wong, who was in the big blind and automatically all in after being forced to commit his last T-1,000 chip.
Wong drew four, then three, then two while Rheem drew one for the first two draws and then stood pat.
Wong had ended up with 9x4x3x2x2x for a pair of deuces while Rheem tabled 8x7x6x5x3x to take the pot and send Wong to the rail on the stone bubble.
Jerry Wong opened the hijack and Jason Mercier called in the big blind.
Both players drew two on the first draw. Mercier led with a bet and Wong called.
Mercier now stood pat and Wong took two. Mercier bet and tanked before a while before he called.
Both stood pat on the final draw. Mercier bet for a third time and Wong eventually decided to call, leaving himself just 1,000 behind. He got the bad news as Mercier had made 7x6x4x3x2x to drag the pot.
With a total prize pool of $475,000, the stakes are incredibly high for the participants. The payouts are structured to reward the top four teams substantially, with the first-place team taking home $225,000, followed by $125,000 for second place, $75,000 for third, and $50,000 for fourth.
