Simao Folds to Becker’s Pressure

Johannes Becker had already raised on the button and was three-bet by Joao Simao in the big blind to 66,000. Becker called.

Both players checked on the 4♥2♣3♠ flop and then Becker called a 30,000 bet from Simao on the 5♥ turn.

The 4♦ completed the board and Simao checked to Becker, who announced a pot-sized bet. Simao quickly let his hand go and Becker dragged the pot.

Mixed Game Legend John Hennigan Wins Seventh Bracelet at 2024 WSOP

It had been 14 years since anyone crossed the six-bracelet milestone, the last being Men "The Master" Nguyen. However, John Hennigan has now broken that streak, winning his seventh bracelet in Event #7: $1,500 Dealer's Choice at the 2024 World Series of Poker.

Hennigan defeated Robert Wells after a brief heads-up duel. With the win, Hennigan became only the ninth player to join the seven-bracelet club.

"It's Interesting to know, I guess, just like any other number" Hennigan commented when asked about the accolade. "Very happy to win the tournament. I mean to me, the best thing about winning the tournament is not losing it. Not getting second or knowing they're still playing and wandering around after you go broke. It's just very satisfying to come out on top."

Ivey bet pot on the 5♦8♠9♦ flop and Chidwick called all in for his remaining 60,000.

Jeff Madsen raised to 20,000 from early position and was called by Jesse Lonis in the cutoff and Omar Saeed in the big blind.

Saeed led out for 35,000 on the 10♣J♦8♦ flop, which got a fold from Madsen, but a raise to 115,000 from Lonis.

Saeed announced he was all in for approximately 260,000 and Lonis quickly called to put Saeed at risk.

The flop came J♦6♣3♥ and action checked around to Collopy who bet 25,000. Only Li made the call.

The two remaining players checked the 6♥ turn and 7♦ river. Collopy tabled A♣9♥5♥5♣ for a seven-low and pair of fives but Li turned over A♦J♥7♣5♠ for the same low and two pair to take three quarters of the pot.
