Nakanishi Has the Superior Pair

Shota Nakanishi bet a three-way flop of J♠J♦6♦ flop for 30,000 with the K♠K♦ and Stephen Chidwick check-called out of the small blind with the 7♠7♣. Boutros Awad let go of the 6♥5♥ in the big blind and the remaining two players headed to the 2♥ turn.

Chidwick now led for 35,000 and Nakanishi raised to 115,000 soon thereafter. The Brit pondered about his move for a short while and called to then see Nakanishi check behind the 3♠ river to win the pot.

Metalidi Among the Leaders After Eliminating Garagnani

Pedro Garagnani opened to 20,000 in early position and was called by Kimberly Manley in the hijack. Artem Metalidi three-bet to 80,000 in the cutoff and Garagnani four-bet shoved all in for around 500,000. Manley quickly folded and Metalidi called just as fast to put Garagnani at risk.

The flop fell K♠J♠9♥ and Garagnani was given some life with a pair of kings. The 10♣ on the turn gave him some chop outs but the 8♣ on the river bricked out as Metalidi now holds one of the biggest stacks in the room.

On the 6♦ turn Harrison checked over to Petrangelo who came with a size of 115,000, and Harrison tossed in chips for the call. The A♣ completed the board and Harrison elected to lead out for 200,000. Petrangelo snap-called and Harrison quickly tabled J♥J♣ for a flopped boat to score the big pot when Petrangelo threw his cards into the muck.

A five-way limped pot unfolded after in which Shota Nakanishi bet 17,000 with the 10♦8♣ for middle pair. Stephen Chidwick called with the K♥7♥ in the big blind and Wu came along with the 6♠6♥.

They checked the 2♣ turn and the J♣ followed on the river.
