Botfeld Five-Bets with Air

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The button raised to 20,000, finding Amanda Botfeld in the big blind who three-bet to 60,000.

The button responded with a four-bet to 175,000 and Botfeld took no time in five-betting to 460,000. Her opponent snap folded.

As Botfeld dragged in the pot, she tabled A6.

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Patrick Tardif
Patrick Tardif

Patrick "Egption" Tardif opened the action with a raise to 20,000 from early position. Bradley Butcher was in the next seat over and jammed all in for 221,000, covering Tardif.

It then folded to Jarett Mullins in the small blind, who thought for a bit before putting in the call. Tardif then called as well and it was a three-way preflop all-in.

Patrick Tardif: QQ
Bradley Butcher: AK
Jarett Mullins: AK

Tardif was in a great spot to triple up, while the other two players were hoping to chop up his chips.

"I'll take five clubs," Butcher said before the flop came down 692.

"Heart!" Mullins commanded to no avail when the turn was the 7.

Both players then stayed quiet as the 5 river rolled off, officially giving Tardif the triple-up with his pair of queens. Meanwhile, Butcher was left with only three big blinds.

Fishbein Catches a King

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player in the hijack opened to 27,000 and another player on the button moved all in for his last 155,000. Glenn Fishbein raised all in for 225,000 and the hijack called, covering both players to put them at risk.

Button: QQ
Glenn Fishbein: AK
Hijack: JJ

All three players held monster hands preflop, with the button having the best of it on the 792 flop and 6 turn. That all changed when Fishbein spiked the K on the river to increase his stack nearly three-fold while sending the player on the button to the rail.

Jason Mercier: 33
Mehdi Saeed: 77

Mercier was in rough shape and looked set to be eliminated from the tournament. The flop came 32J, however, vaulting Mercier into a commanding lead. Nothing changed on the 8 turn but the river came 7, causing a collective gasp to spread around the table as Mercier made his exit.

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Thomas Gabriel was heads-up with the small blind in a three-bet pot. With around 350,000 in the middle already, the board read K42J and the small blind checked on the turn. Gabriel slid out a stack of 25,000 chips and his opponent thought for a minute before calling off his stack of around 400,000.

Thomas Gabriel: 44

Gabriel flopped a set of fours and had his opponent drawing dead with just top pair. The insignificant 8 completed the board and Gabriel raked in a healthy pot.
