Ayala Calls for the Five and the Five Arrives

Nível 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action caught up to a hand between Jesse Ayala in middle position and a player in the big blind, with Ayala betting enough on the 278 flop to put the player in the big blind all-in.

"I want to believe you, but I just can't," said the player in the big blind before putting in the calling chips.

Big Blind Player: J7
Jesse Ayala: 97

The big blind player had the right instinct, but the 6 turn would add additional outs for Ayala.

"Five," stated Ayala before the dealer put out the final card.

Ask and you shall receive as the 5 fell on the river, scoring the straight and the elimination for Ayala.

Nível 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Rosalie Petit
Rosalie Petit

Rosalie Petit opened to 15,000 from early position, and was called by the cutoff and the small blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of J104, where Petit made a continuation bet of 20,000. But her two opponents didn't let down and called.

The 7 on the turn brought no more action, as all three players checked. But on the river 7, Petit tried to find some value, betting 40,000. She received a call by the cutoff, but the small blind check-folded.

Petit revealed KJ for a top pair. Seeing that, the cutoff quickly showed he had A10 for a pair of tens, and mucked his cards.

Leal Cracks Kings and Jacks

Nível 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

In a hand relayed to PokerNews by John Leal, Leal was all-in against two opponents and was able to triple up in an unlikely way.

John Leal A7
Opponent One: KxKx
Opponent Two: JxJx

According to Leal the flop fell A59, pairing Leal's ace and eliminating two of the four remaining cards in the deck that could beat the top pair due to the heart flush draw.

The board ran out clean, with the 2 on the turn and the 8 on the river, providing Leal the win and the triple.

Cosentino Hits Quads Twice In A Row

Nível 14 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Blaz Zerjav limped from middle position. Then Cosentino Roman Cosentino, seated on his left, moved all in for 8,500 chips. All the other players folded, and Zerjav quickly called.

Roman Cosentino: 55
Blaz Zerjav: QQ

Close to the elimination, Cosentino was saved by the five on the flop K5J, and by the other five on the turn 5 that gave him quads before the river K.

Thanks to this hand, Cosentino doubled up. But he was at risk again for 27,000 chips on the very next hand after the player under the gun moved all in with a bigger stack.

Roman Cosentino: JJ
Under the gun: 99

This time, things didn't start as well as on the previous hand for Cosentino, but he was still in the lead on Q610. On the turn J that gave him a set, everybody around the table started to think "Why not quads again?" And that's what happened with the river J.

After these two doubles up, Cosentino is back to the starting stack.
