Action was caught with Eric Holz who was all in on the turn, for a total of 20,000. He was facing Philip Kao, who nearly bust a player just before. The board was {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Eric Holz: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Philip Kao: {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Holz had a pair, a straight draw, flush draw plus royal flush draw on this turn while Kao made two pair. The river was an {a-Spades} which finally gave the straight for Holz, who is now back to starting stack.

Some tables were more than half empty at the start of this event, so some players had to wait. It was this case for David Susigan's table. He was with two others players and had to wait for a fourth one. It was Jimmy Guerrero, who raised his first hand in the dark, to 500.

David Susigan was the only caller. Then on a {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} flop, Susigan check-called 800. The turn was the {8-Clubs}, Susigan checked again and Guerrero bet 4,800. Susigan called.

The river {3-Clubs} completed that board and after an 11,500 bet from Guerrero, Susigan answered by jamming his stack.

Guerrero tanked for a while, then called.

David Susigan: {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Jimmy Guerrero: {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

While Susigan turned the straight, Guerrero made a backdoor flush and scored the knockout.

Napier Makes Correct Read

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

The heads-up action was picked up on the river, with about 10,000 in the pot and a board of {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Bill Napier fired for 2,800 from under the gun. His opponent, in the big blind, raised to 12,800. This sent Napier into the tank. After a minute or two of silence, Napier told his opponent "Your story don't make sense." After another minute or so, Napier tossed in the call.

His opponent turned over {7-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a pair on the river, while Napier turned over {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, good for top pair. Napier had made the correct read, and was awarded with a sizable first level pot, and has already nearly doubled his stack.

The 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas is set to kick off Event #68: $1,000 Million Dollar Bounty No-Limit Hold'em today, as the first of four starting flights gets underway. Those who survive to bag chips at the end of the night will return to play on Tuesday, July 5th for Day 2, where all four starting flights will be combined.

While this particular event is new to the World Series of Poker in 2022, this is just one of a handful of bounty events held throughout the series, including Event #67: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em, which is slated to conclude later today.

The bounty pool is made out of $300 of each player's buy-in. Beginning on Day 2, when a player scores an elimination of an opponent, they will get to draw a random bounty prize, with the top bounty prize guaranteed to be a whopping $1,000,000. Players will not be able to redeem their bounties until after 4 p.m. on Day 2.

Cards are scheduled to be in the air at noon local time for this first starting flight. They will play 22 levels, each lasting for 30 minutes. A 20-minute break is scheduled for after every fourth level, with a 75-minute dinner break after Level 12, expected to be around 6:40 p.m. local time.

Players will start the day with a starting stack of 40,000 chips and may reenter once per flight. Late registration will close at the end of the dinner break, expected to be around 7:55 p.m.

Be sure to stay tuned into PokerNews for live coverage of this event, and all others at the 2022 WSOP at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
