The first month of the World Series Of Poker is nearly in the books from its new home at Bally’s and Pairs Las Vegas and today kicks off the always popular Event #59: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em.
Players must be at least 60 years of age to play with one reentry available. Cards will be in the air at 10 a.m. PDT and players will begin with 20,000 in chips with the blinds starting at 100/100/100.
Jean-Luc Adam from France is the reigning champion. He conquered a field of 1,893 players en route to a $255,263 payday and his first WSOP bracelet.
Levels are all 60 minutes long with a 20-minute break after every two and a 75-minute dinner break after Level 8 (~7:00 p.m.). Late registration is open through the end of the dinner break, approximately 8:15 p.m. local time. Play will end after Level 10 when remaining players will bag and tag their chips for Day 2.
