Schumacher Doubles Through Gimbel

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Johan Schumacher shoved for 77,000 and it was called by Harrison Gimbel next to him, who had slightly more chips than him.

Shumacher held {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} while Gimbel had {a-Diamonds}{k-} and didn't find any help on a dry board to concede the double up to Schumacher.

Ector Hits The Rail One Before The Money

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action was picked up when Benjamin Ector opened to 12,000 from under-the-gun and Daniel Custodio moved all in from the button for 490,000. Ector made the call putting himself at risk for his remaining 210,000.

Benjamin Ector: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Daniel Custodio: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Ector was in great shape preflop but when the board ran out {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} it was the set of nines for Custodio that knocked out Ector one away from the money bubble.

John Perry opened in the cutoff to 13,000 and Romain Lotti three-bet to 37,000 on the button. Jean-Pierre Besancon decided to shove his last chips in the middle in the small blind and Perry folded to Lotti who called.

Cruising in the $250k, Is 2022 Phil Ivey's Best WSOP Ever?

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

It's not a matter if, but when will Phil Ivey become just the second player ever to win that elusive 11th World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Perhaps, he's just a day away, especially if he continues to dominate Event #50: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em.

Ivey's been stuck on 10 since 2014, tied for second with Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson. He still has his work cut out for him to catch Phil Hellmuth, who holds the record with 16 WSOP titles. But it's clear now that he's as focused now to win bracelets as was in the 2000s.
