Tjaart Steyn tossed a single 5,000 chip into the pot from middle position and the dealer, who correctly stated that Steyn had not declared a raise, informed the table the action would be a limp. Steyn confirmed that he had intended to raise, saying "I meant to raise, I just didn't say it". Action folded around to Alex Peffly in the big blind, who checked his option.
Peffly checked on a flop of 
and Steyn continued for 5,000. It was not enough to get rid of Peffly, who made the call.
