Welcome to WSOP at Ballys snd Paris Las Vegas Event #37 $1,500 Millionare Maker No-Limit Texas Hold'em Day 2. After 3,546 players bought into Day 1a on June 17, an even larger turnout of 4,429 players chose Day 1b to start their quest for a 2022 World Series of Poker bracelet. Only 963 of those players who started this Day 1 with high hopes managed to make it through to Day 2.

Leader of the chip counts is Steve Yea with 148 big blinds (445,000), and right behind him is Christopher Gu with 168 big blinds (420,500)

Dozens of stellar names are still in the running for this gold bracelet event. The lure of a seven-figure top prize was enough to entice such luminaries as JJ Liu, Kenny Hallaert, four-time WSOP bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi, recent bracelet winner Daniel Weinman, and Kathy Liebert to the Millionaire Maker tables.

Czuczor Among Early Casualties

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Almost immediately after the cards went in the air, the first all-in and call could be heard from the Bally's tournament area. Among those to walk out of the room was also Marton Czuczor, who had started the day with a short stack of 23,000 and found no fortune in the opening stages.

It appears that some two dozen players have been eliminated already while the field awaits the payout information.

Reinhardt Jams Up His Stack Early On

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Following a raise by Joshua Suyat, Daniel Reinhardt on the button three-bet to 13,000 and Suyat called after brief consideration. They headed to the {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop on which both players checked. After the {8-Diamonds} turn, both players invested 15,000 and the {k-Spades} fell on the river.

Suyat checked and Reinhardt then moved all-in. Without asking for a call, Suyat sent his cards into the muck and Reinhardt won the pot uncontested.

Gabriel Jansen Falcao Bal looked up the short stack all-in of Alemu "Jerome" Makonen and tabled the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Makonen turned over the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and made a set of kings on the {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{k-Diamonds} board.

He then raised to 5,500 and called the shove by Matt Davenport from one seat over for more than half of his stack.

Matt Davenport: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Alemu "Jerome" Makonen: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} runout gave Makonen a set of nines and sent Davenport to the rail.

Ahuja Starts With Aces

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

"How do you wake up with that one?" Kenny "SuperTuan" Nguyen joked as one of the middling stacks on the table had won a pot on a king-high board and raked in the pot. That happened to be Ankit Ahuja, who flashed his {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} to win a pot very early on Day 2.

Other notable stacks can be found on the table as well including Joao Simao and Kelly Kim.
