Joseph Bernthold, who was in the small blind, and Germandio Andoni both got their chips in the middle preflop with the former at risk for 800,000 chips.

The flop of gave Bernthold hope of the flush, but Andoni did hold two hearts in his hand. The turn and river were two massive bricks for Bernthold and he headed to the exit while Andoni was one step closer to a gold bracelet.
Meanwhile on the next table, Cole Ferraro was eliminated in 19th place only seconds after Bernthold busted. Chino Rheem was the recipient of those chips.

Action began when John Riordan raised from early position, not leaving himself with much behind, and after Jamey Hendrickson called, Yin Wu reraised from middle position to isolate. But then Jamey Hendrickson potted again to cover both players, Wu called and all three tabled their cards.

The whole table stood up to watch the pot in excess of two million unfold.
The board ran out and Hendrickson was declared the winner with trip aces and a queen kicker, successfully knocking out Riordan in 22nd place and Wu in 21st.
