James Shouldis opened in early position for 5,000, then was three-bet by the button for 12,000, followed by a jam from the big blind for 30,000 effective. Shouldis then reshoved for the rest of his stack of 43,000, sending the button into the tank. After a few moments of deliberation, the button called and the cards were on their backs, with Shouldis and the big blind at risk.

The turn brought the , Wien continued for another 12,500 and the button called.

On the river , Wien put out another 16,500 before his opponent cut out a stack large enough to put Wien all in.

Wien looked tortured by the decision as he thought it over, but he eventually settled on a call. The button turned over nine-high and Wien turned over his winning pair of aces in relief as he dragged a big pot.
