Spinella Says He Was Calling

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Anthony Spinella checked a flop of {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} from under the gun and Pedro Padilha bet 115,000 from the button. Spinella called and then check-called a further 167,000 on the {q-Clubs} turn. The river was a {5-Spades} and Spinella checked again. Padilha thought a long time and checked back.

Spinella opened {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and the set was good.

"Good check," he told Padilha.

Cain Three-Bets an Early Position Open

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Jeffrey Chu opened to 55,000 from early position and action folded around to Tara Cain in the small blind who put in a three-bet to 170,000.

Chu thought about his decision for close to two minutes and relinquished his hand, sending the pot Cain's way. Cain has chipped up to over 2.3 million with the pot and now finds herself with around 150 percent of an average stack as the field size looks to dip below 300 players in the near future.

Bonding Trending Down; Wins a Pot

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Lars Bonding
Lars Bonding

Lars Bonding had started the day second in chips but had lost more than half of his stack early on as Brian Park emerged as the new big stack on his table. Bonding was just now involved in a battle of the blinds with Jiwoon Kim and they created a pot of 570,000 to the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts} turn.

Bonding checked and Kim bet 400,000, which prompted the shove of Bonding for around 1.4 million. Kim gave it plenty of consideration and folded, tapping the table in defeat.

Madsen Chipping Up

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Jeff Madsen was seen with around one million in chips throughout the latter part of Day 4 before increasing his stack to 1,425,000 where he started today. He was just seen at 2.8 million and according to him it has not come in any spectacular fashion. He won a coin flip earlier in the day against a smaller stack and has since been chipping up, consistently accumulating chips throughout the first 80 minutes of play on Day 5.

"This Isn't My First Rodeo"

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

With {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} on the board and 1 million or so in the pot, Jerod Smith was all in from the button for about 800,000 effective, most of his own chips. Ezequiel Waigel was thinking in the small blind and someone eventually called the clock. The supervisor put him on a 30-second countdown, and just after the zero hit, Waigel dropped in a stack of chips. Smith looked at the supervisor for confirmation of the action and she decided the hand was dead.

"Thank you," Waigel said with a smile.

"He wanted to make me show," Smith said. "But, this isn't my first rodeo."

Marques Gets Paid After Turning a Set

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, Ralph Perry and Pedro Marques were left heads-up in the pot. Perry checked from early position and Marques fired out a bet of 82,000 on his left. Perry called and the {2-Clubs} completed the board.

Perry checked again and Marques reached back for a bet of 245,000. Perry thought for a minute and finally made the call. Marques turned over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a set of jacks and Perry sat with his cards in his hands for a moment before releasing to the muck.
