Gimbel Eliminates Serda

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Patrick Serda
Patrick Serda

The action folded around to Patrick Serda in the hijack who shoved all-in for 53,000 and Harrison Gimbel snap-called in the big blind.

Harrison Gimbel: {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Patrick Serda: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} giving Gimbel a flush draw with his ace, but then on the turn {10-Clubs} it was looking to be a chop, but unfortunately for Serda the {4-Diamonds} fell on the river giving Gimbel a pair of fours, eliminating Serda from the tournament.

Thibodeau's Set Gets Double Up

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Three players saw a board of {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Pin Jiang bet 52,000 into his two opponents and he was raised all in by Jacob Thibodeau. The third player in the hand thought about their decision for quite a while before eventually electing to bow out, leaving Jiang with a big decision of his own to make.

After a few moments, Jiang called. But he got the bad news as Thibodeau flipped over the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a set while Jiang could only muster the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for top pair. The third player in the hand claimed that he folded king-queen.

The river came the {4-Hearts} and Thibodeau scored a big double up.

Louer's Aces Cracked

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

It only took a couple of preflop raises until Todd Louer found himself all in for around 100,000 chips. His opponent was Johann Ibanez and both players turned over premium hands.

Todd Louer: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Johann Ibanez: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop of {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} was exactly what Louer was looking for to keep his aces out front. However, the turn brought the {k-Diamonds} to give Ibanez a set of kings and stranglehold on the hand. The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Louer was eliminated early on Day 4.

Liebert Gets Two Streets of Value

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

Kathy Liebert opened to 18,000 from middle position and received a call from the player in the big blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{4-Spades} and the big blind checked. Liebert made a continuation-bet of 10,000 and was called.

The turn fell {5-Clubs} and the big blind checked again. Liebert continued, firing 35,000 into the middle. Her opponent quickly called. Both players checked the river {2-Diamonds}.

The big blind tabled {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for second pair with a missed nut flush draw. Liebert then showed {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a pair of aces and took down the pot, growing her stack to just shy of 900,000.

Ray Eliminates Opponent

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The flop read {6-}{q-}{j-} and Joshua Ray was considering an all-in bet from his opponent. After a while, he decided to call and turned over {q-}{j-} for top two which was ahead of the {a-}{q-} of his at risk opponent. The turn was another queen and the river was a blank to give Ray a sizeable pot and to eliminate his opponent.

Gisela Staton: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Josephy was in a dominating position heading to the flop of {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} which put him even further ahead. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and the {3-Clubs} on the river ended Staton's Main Event.

Fan Eliminates McCarrel

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jason Fan raised to 18,000 from the hijack and Martin Stoller called in the cutoff. Jamie McCarrel shoved from the small blind for 145,000 and Fan contemplated his options for a while. In the end, Fan decided to shove too, having both of his opponents covered. Stoller quickly got out of their way.

Jamie McCarrel: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Jason Fan: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for Fan to hold with the higher pocket pair to eliminate McCarrel from the Main Event.
