Matusow Caught With His Hand in the Cookie Jar

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

A player had opened and Mike Matusow three-bet from the button to 76,000. Janet Hornung four-bet all in for 121,000 from the big blind and the initial raiser folded.

"The worst part about calling," said Matusow as he deliberated, "Is that I have to show..."

"Hand in the cookie jar," muttered someone at the table as Matusow committed his chips to the pot.

Janet Hornung: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Mike Matusow: {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The flop {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} gave Hornung trips and left Matusow drawing very slim. The turn and river {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} changed nothing and Hornung doubled up.

"I was waiting to get him," said Matusow. "And this is what happens.

"Waiting and waiting...letting him and letting him..."

Furth Picks Up Three Premiums in a Row

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Caleb Furth
Caleb Furth

There was a raise to 20,000 in early position and Caleb Furth just called in middle position. The button three-bet to 85,000 and the initial raiser folded. Furth stuck in a four-bet to 235,000 and the button called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Furth led out for 135,000. His opponent called and the {6-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Furth fired out another 280,000 and the button still called. The river brought the {7-Hearts} and with over one million in the pot already, both players decided to knuckle the table. Furth showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for a flush and his opponent mucked his cards.

In the next hand, Furth opened to 22,000 and everyone folded. Furth flashed {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} as he picked up the blinds and ante. Following that, Furth raised to 22,000 again and was called by the player on his left.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Furth check-called a bet of 32,000 on the flop and then another 105,000 on the {k-Clubs} turn. The river was the {k-Hearts} and both players checked. Furth tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair and picked up another pot.
